The actual scene of the Maling Oilfield was created in the summer of 1979. Looking at the endless red flags in the distance, the scenery of the oil field is not beautiful; the road turns nine and climbs up the ridge, and the pipeline carries oil far away.
A derrick is erected next to the beacon tower, and a tall building is erected in the green gauze tent. If it is summer here, the river will be full of greenery and surrounded by water.
Maling Oilfield is located in the north of Qingyang County, Gansu Province. It was the oilfield with the largest oil production in Changqing at that time. The oil field is very large, covering an area of ??more than 300 square kilometers and spanning a large area of ??the Loess Plateau. The Maling River Road passes through the oil field from south to north, and both the highway and the surrounding river extend along the river. On both sides of the river road are the Loess Plateau. The height difference between the Sichuan Road and the Loess Plateau is more than 200 meters, which is very steep, so it is called "Ling". Cars going up and down the ridge need to walk on a zigzag winding road on a steep slope. It seems that it takes an unknown amount of walking to reach the well site overhead. Oil wells are dotted on the Loess Plateau and in the river channels. Entering the oil field area, you can feel the booming oil production operations and new buildings on the ancient river roads. Maling crude oil is sent to Ningxia oil storage and transfer station through long-distance pipelines day and night. Maling was a northern county in ancient times. It was the choke point from Chang'an to Xixia and a battleground for ancient military strategists. The continuous distribution of beacon towers on the ridge is enough to prove the tense atmosphere at that time. This poem was published in Changqing Petroleum News on October 17, 1987.
