(2) Application

How do you understand Jabez's prayer?

I hope you will bless me-knowing and believing in God.

"Wish" is an urgent, eager and earnest belief! Not doubting the power of God is a declaration of faith.

"You bless me" is a correct understanding of God. He clearly knows in his heart that the object of his prayer is the Almighty with great power and authority!

(2) Expand my realm-trust and pray for God.

"Expansion" is the understanding of God's ability, knowing that only God has such ability, seeing his own shortcomings, and wishing God to replace his weakness and seek God's supply.

"mine" is a correct understanding of myself, a deficiency of myself, and needs to be changed.

"Realm" is a spiritual realm, not for eating and drinking on the ground, not for filling the stomach, but for expanding the spiritual realm, not for building yourself up by an invisible spiritual life.

(3) Always be with me-proclaim and wait for God.

"Always be with me" is the declaration and appeal of faith, the foundation of faith in God, the solid foundation of expectation, the unprecedented evidence, the belief that people's lives can be turned upside down, and the belief that God is always concerned about everything.

Being together is the source of our peace and happiness. As long as God exists, we can't lack it, and our hearts can be filled with light. Jabez believes that no matter what the environment, his god is a great and wonderful god, and he is also the god of his ancestors. He said that there is a God who has a destiny and will save them from all the darkness. So he called on God to be with him.

(4) Protect me from suffering and hardship-hold high and entrust God.

"Bless me" is a cry to heaven! The source of all blessings is in heaven, and no one on earth can free me from suffering and hardship; Only God can do it. The desire to win lies in us, and the ability to win depends on God. Jabez clearly saw the power of God, understood his own limitations, realized that God is the source of supply, and gave it to God, and only God is in charge of the future.
