The poetry of the Tang Dynasty is a treasure in Chinese culture. The "Complete Poems of the Tang Dynasty" compiled during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty included more than 48,900 poems by more than 2,200 authors (the number of which are lost is unknown). It is unique in the history of world literature to leave such a rich cultural heritage in less than 300 years.
