Five Thoughts and Enlightenment after Reading Les Miserables

Hugo's masterpiece Les Miserables contains too many things, including a French romantic writer, a representative figure of humanitarianism, a representative writer of the active romantic literary movement, and an outstanding bourgeois democratic writer in the history of French literature. The following are my thoughts and inspirations from watching Les Miserables. Welcome to read!

Thoughts and Enlightenment from Reading Les Miserables 1

Today, I eagerly read Hugo's Les Miserables, hiding my thoughts: Why is there so much suffering in this world, and whose responsibility are these? The answer is in the book.

Victor hugo, (1802-1885) was born in Besancon, France. He was the leader of the romantic literary movement in the early19th century. His works include 26 volumes of poems, 20 volumes of novels, 2 volumes of scripts1and 2 volumes of philosophical papers1. His masterpiece is Les Miserables.

Les Miserables is mainly about the release of the criminal Jean Valjean. Influenced by Bishop Miriam, he became kind and adopted Cosette, who lived in dire straits. Finally, Cosette married Marius and died alone.

When I saw Bishop Miriam stealing his silverware from Jean Valjean and lying for him, just to make Jean Valjean a good man, I was deeply moved: what a great fraternity! How can you sacrifice your property for others! Bishop Miriam said, "Don't forget, never forget your promise. You took these silverware to be an honest man. " Yes, we should be honest and useful to society, and we should not change ourselves because of the environment. Only in this way can we be worthy of ourselves.

When I saw that Mr. Madeleine (actually Jean Valjean) got under the car in order to save his enemy, even at the expense of his health, and managed to lift the car himself, which affected everyone and saved him, I had two feelings: First, I was happy for Jean Valjean, because he really became a man like Bishop Miriam, and he saved himself. The second is to understand that as long as you are sincere, you can influence everyone.

When I saw that Cosette was only eight years old and didn't go to school, but she wanted to work for Thenardier in Memphis, and Thenardier not only didn't treat Cosette well, but punched and kicked her. How cruel! In our country, if this happens, Thenardier will be punished by law! This also shows the chaos in France at that time.

After reading Les Miserables, I understand that people live in this world. Only by being an upright person and doing more good deeds can we be worthy of ourselves as a human being. At the same time, I also understand that only when a country is prosperous can the bad guys get the punishment they deserve.

Thoughts and Enlightenment from Watching Les Miserables 2

How can you see the rainbow without experiencing wind and rain, and how can you succeed without preparing for hardship? However, sometimes, everything in front of us is not made up of suffering.

In an instant, the world ebbs and flows. Perhaps, you have become a lucky person. However, if you are so beautiful now and have tasted this kind of "bitterness" with me, do you feel the same way!

Inadvertently, I opened Les Miserables written by Hugo, a French writer, as if I had entered the world in that book: misery, darkness, forbearance and cruelty ... as if only in a flash, nineteen years had passed, but these nineteen years were also the most tragic and cruel year for the protagonist Jean Valjean. Jean Valjean, an ordinary and mediocre man, was cruelly sentenced to 19 years in prison for breaking the glass of a bakery when he was young, and curled up in that dark prison all day.

In order to get out of prison as soon as possible, he worked hard and suffered a lot, at his best and most blooming age. Out of justice, out of love, out of nature, he can only sink into darkness, and it is also embarrassing and resentful after vicissitudes! However, things are unpredictable, and fate is so unfair to him. After he got out of prison, he was down and out, and thousands of people shouted. He is a poor man who is spurned and laughed at by the world. He has been hungry, sleeping in the wind, and even seems to have been abandoned by the world.

Faced with this cruel world, he wanted to revenge or even destroy it, but he met a kind and simple bishop. Under the reception and instruction of the bishop, he gradually let go of these hatred. After the bishop died, he disappeared into this dark world, and no one knew where he went. We didn't think of a kind and enthusiastic person until he appeared in a distant place. ...

He changed his name and surname and established himself in society. He became a good man who was admired by thousands of people but felt inferior, and adopted a little girl Cosette who had the same tragic experience as him or even more tragic than him as his daughter.

And finally saw her step into the marriage hall and live a happy life. At the same time, he died in his daughter's arms in the middle of the year, which is a perfect ending.

I only dreamed for a long time, but I knew that the clouds were blowing away and I had seen Les Miserables. Perhaps everyone has had anger and pity in his heart, and at the same time, he has also satirized and criticized the dark real society. Let's re-examine the world and this little change of the world as time goes by. Yes, the suffering old Lord has forgotten, and this forgotten old Lord is coming! Jean Valjean's life was extremely unfortunate, but he used his kind and emotional heart to heal the wounds brought to him by the world, even though the fate was so unfair and the world was so cold.

As long as he always has a loving bishop in his heart and a beautiful and clever daughter with a warm smile, his world will eventually be colorful, won't it?

The fate of the world will eventually be settled. Jean Valjean's extremely spicy and wonderful life finally got an ordinary and perfect gift. Before he died, he finally had a happy ending, closed his eyes with tears of happiness and satisfaction and threw himself into his daughter's arms. He, a tragic and legendary figure, left. He may have gone with the wind, he may have wandered in his beautiful world, he may be nostalgic, maybe ... but in any case, he will always live in the hearts of people who love him and are afraid of him in Les Miserables, and also in the hearts of readers!

Close the book, close your eyes and quietly experience this miserable, dark, forbearing and cruel world, as well as this brilliant, just, kind and legendary human nature. Perhaps the time is not long, just a moment, a moment, your anxious and impetuous heart will be floating in the wind in that tragic world!

Thoughts and Enlightenment from Watching Les Miserables 3

Hugo is a romantic writer. He wrote Notre Dame de Paris, 1993 and Les Miserables, but what we call romance is not reflected in his works at all. It's all war, suffering and sorrow. It is precisely because of this social environment that it is possible to awaken the romance in my heart.

Most of the sufferings in life are due to lack of money. 17-year-old Jean Valjean stole a piece of bread to save his sister's life and was sentenced to five years in prison. In prison, he was worried about his sister and children, so he tried to escape again and again, but failed. How many movies can be like The Shawshank Redemption? So his sentence was increased to 19 years. In nineteen years, teenagers became middle-aged. The dark hard labor life made him suffer a lot. After he was released from prison, he was excluded and discriminated against by the world. He can't find a job or a place to live, and outsiders don't accept him.

Jean Valjean was treated cruelly by the world. He began to break pots and fall, but one person changed him. An old lady saw him sleeping in front of the printing house and asked him what he was doing. He said angrily that the old lady was sleeping. The old lady suggested that he try knocking at the priest's door. Bishop Moliere opened the door. He didn't give up his criminal status. Have a cordial conversation with him, show sympathy and concern for him, serve him a bowl of hot dishes, and arrange a bed for him to sleep.

But when he saw the glittering silverware on the table, the poor prisoner couldn't help putting him in his pocket and running away. He had been in prison for a piece of bread, but now he saw that the straw failed to control himself, but he was quickly caught by the police. Jean Valjean's church sent him to prison.

However, the kind Moliere denied it and reminded Jean Valjean: "Why didn't you say I gave it to you?" I also presented a pair of silver candlesticks. The bishop saved him again, this time not only his body, but also his soul. Jean Valjean and his soul were saved.

Jean Valjean, saved by love, began to love others.

He changed his name and surname, turned over a new leaf, worked hard and achieved a career. After acquiring a lot of wealth, he spared no effort to help widows and benefit society. His good deeds helped many people, because he was deeply loved by the local people and was elected mayor. He cares about the sufferings of the citizens and the people at the bottom, just like a light that shines warmly into the lives of the poor. In the factory he runs, there is a female worker named Fantine, and Fantine has an illegitimate daughter. Fantine tried her best to make money in order to take care of her illegitimate daughter, but eventually she died. She asked Jean Valjean to take care of her illegitimate daughter.

In a rescue operation, Jean Valjean exposed the fact that he is extremely powerful, and this kind of power is only available to ex-criminals.

He was once again associated with a convict. Finally exposed, had to run. Jean Valjean took his daughter Cosette to hide, not because he did anything wrong, but because life never pays attention to fairness. The so-called fairness can only be said in his heart. Finally, the most active criminal policeman who arrested him was going to be shot. Jean Valjean abandoned him and saved him regardless of his life. Hugo's romance is to immerse the reader in the story, immerse himself in it, and then fantasize about a romance. Because the reality is too painful, only a little romance can alleviate this pain.

Thoughts and Enlightenment from Watching Les Miserables 4

Anger and sympathy, this is how I feel about this book.

Jean Valjean was a convict. He was treated as a guest by Bishop Kafulu. Jean Valjean began to repent and became the mayor of another city. He lives with a girl named Cosette. At last the girl got married and Jean Valjean redeemed him.

After reading this book, my heart is really intertwined with five kinds of miscellaneous grains. Among them, the greed of human nature made Thenardier have nothing and even used his daughter to make money. He gets something for nothing, and his mind is full of bad ideas, which makes people hate it when they see it. On the contrary, the police Javert is hard to hate. He is not wrong, but his excellent qualities have been led astray and disgusting. Our hero, Jean Valjean, is a man who wants to take revenge on the society, but later, he changed, became considerate and willing to give alms. However, despite this, there are more and more people who want to harm him.

This was the case in the previous society, and this is still the case in our present society. The recent Didi incident has been telling us the darkness of human nature. Our society lacks people like Bishop Bienvenu. People's hearts were originally pure as a blank sheet of paper, but for various reasons, this blank sheet of paper began to be stained with various colors. There are many reasons for this. Among them, family has a great relationship. If there is domestic violence in your family, then the children in this family may be more overbearing and grumpy. If parents respect and care for each other in a family, then children will know how to be modest and respect others even when they are young.

Unfortunately, what is the difference between this society and Hugo's world? The rapid rise of the internet has brought disaster! People think that typing a few words doesn't matter, but they don't know how much mental damage they have caused to others! Dr. Ann and her husband went swimming. Two boys offended Dr. An without apologizing. The boy's parents blocked Dr. An in the bathroom and beat him up. Also contributing to Weibo, netizens began to attack Dr. An's family with language, and Dr. An finally chose to take medicine to commit suicide! This is forcing a fresh life!

Everyone should start from himself, like Bishop Bienvenu, and help others instead of hurting others!

May all evil disappear and tragic events never appear again.

Thoughts and Enlightenment from Watching Les Miserables 5

Les Miserables is a book that makes people fall into infinite meditation. Hugo's description of the inferiority of human beauty and his thinking of good and evil are permeated with invincible thoughts: only fraternity can make people walk out of the "miserable world"!

In this work, the author turned his eyes to the people at the bottom of society, strongly exposed and criticized the darkness of capitalist society, and described the hellish life of the people at the bottom of society with delicate writing. Although their fate is tragic, their hearts are really noble, and their minds have a belief: love! The bishop's love for Jean Valjean, Jean Valjean's father's love for Cosette, Fantine's mother's love for Cosette, and the love between Cosette and Marius ... It is because of love that this work, which shows despair and blood everywhere, has a different color!

After he was released from prison, Jean Valjean became a prisoner and was discriminated against by others. The cruel reality forced him to commit a crime. He stole a silver candlestick from the bishop. Instead of blaming him, the bishop gave him another candlestick. Under the influence of a kind and loving bishop, Jean Valjean turned over a new leaf and became a respected mayor of Madeleine after several years of his own efforts. He did not forget the kindness and kindness of the bishop and often gave help to the poor. He helped Fantine selflessly, took Cosette as his adopted daughter, rescued Marius from the gutter, and set Sergeant Javert, who was chasing him free ... Jean Valjean embodies humanity and fraternity, which is also a tragedy of the times to some extent and a microcosm of the suffering of the people at the bottom of society. The world is incomplete and not absolute. Just like Thenardier in the novel, they bullied Cosette in every way, gave Fantine's things to their daughter, and finally became prisoners. This is a typical manifestation of the selfishness of the villain!

Sheriff Javert pursued Jean Valjean all his life and broke Jean Valjean's quiet life again and again. They were born sworn enemies, but in the end they became special friends. Javert, like a hunter, kept driving his prey Jean Valjean, and it was precisely because of this persecution that Jean Valjean kept exploring and struggling and climbed up step by step. At the end of the novel, Jean Valjean lets Javert go, and Javert realizes his mistake and the society where black and white are reversed. The cold and desperate world is not what he pursues. Under the strong impact of good and evil, he committed suicide by jumping into the river alone in despair. I lived all my life, only to find that I was wrong from the beginning. Nothing in the world is sadder than this!

In the background of that era, even if you are noble and great, you will always look lonely if you fight against the injustice and evil potential of fate. However, it is this disparity that makes the hero Jean Valjean more heroic!

Reading Les Miserables, you get not only further study of literature, but also sublimation of emotion and baptism of soul!
