When it comes to Buddhism, we should start with the three conversions. What is triple conversion? It is to regard "Buddhism, Dharma and Monk" as the criterion for us to live in the world.
Buddha is a man with profound insight and great insight. He is the kindest and greatest teacher of us human beings, and we should learn from him.
"Dharma" is the truth awakened by Buddha, and it can lead us to a happy and happy A Ring of Endless Light, so we should study it deeply.
A "monk" is a monk who strictly abides by precepts and inherits Buddhism. They abandon the five desires in the world, promote Buddhism and educate all beings. They are the closest and most visible teachers in our lives. We should ask their advice.
There are two forms of "three modernizations"
First, attend the religious ceremonies of Buddhist temples or groups, and formally decide to take "Buddha, Dharma and Monk" as the criterion of living before Buddha, so that you are a Buddhist.
Second, if there is really no place to become a monk, you can kneel in front of the Buddha and the Bodhisattva statue and say three words sincerely: "Disciple XXX, convert to Buddhism, convert to Buddhism and convert to monks." Take "Buddhism, Dharma and Monk" as the criterion of my future career. Although such people did not participate in the religious ceremony of "conversion", they had the same mind and were of course Buddhists. From now on, I am a Buddhist, and I want to serve the society and benefit the people. At the same time, we should also "make up our minds" to encourage ourselves and alert ourselves: "In the past, we died yesterday, and in the future, we were born today." We must turn over a new leaf with the bad thoughts, habits and behaviors of the past, rely on the teachings of the Buddha, love our country, people, society, relatives, parents, children and family, and strive to practice the teachings of the Buddha, so as to complete our noble personality.
To sum up, if you want to become a Buddhist, seriously practice the teachings of the Buddha and achieve the goal of becoming a Buddha, the way to practice is as follows: believe → understand → act → prove: in short, I became a Buddhist. After believing in Buddhism (letter); You must study Buddhism seriously and understand the principle (solution) of Buddhism; After knowing the truth of the Buddha, we should further practice and practice according to the teachings of the Buddha. In this way, if we make unremitting efforts and carry it out from beginning to end, we will certainly get the happiness of nirvana (nirvana means that there is no doubt or worry, which transcends the meaning of life and death), which personally proves everything that the Buddha said-all beings are future buddhas and will one day become buddhas (certificates).
Buddhism is a re-textual research, not a matter of knowing everything. If you can follow the teachings, your merits are boundless, and knowing without doing is equal to ignorance. As far as the five commandments are concerned, the numbers are small and heavy. Being a monk at home, if you can keep the five precepts, you can call it a clean layman and a clean bhikkhu, and you can decide by the precepts, be wise by the determination, break the evil law, practice the good law and gradually eliminate it. Take refuge from disasters, live a long and healthy life, enjoy family happiness, be respected, be good at celebrities, and be happy physically and mentally. When you die, you won't fall into three ways. You were born in heaven forever, and you were given great joy, even you were extraordinary. Your achievements are immeasurable. If a lay man breaks these five precepts, he is not only a clean lay man, but also unable to enter the precepts and accept them, unable to adhere to all the statutes, unable to grow all the good laws, let alone live as a Buddha. Before becoming a monk, being tempted is the fundamental commandment. It should be clean and accepted, and it should not be destroyed. For example, the roots of all plants are destroyed, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits can't be born, people can't be beheaded, can't be resurrected, can't live in a monk group, and will never be abandoned outside Buddhism. After death, you will suffer for a long time.
Therefore, I hope you, don't be too ambitious, be down-to-earth, start with the five commandments, stop killing, stop stealing, stop prostitution, stop lying and stop drinking.
How to quit killing? All living animals, from Buddhist saints and parents of monks and nuns to flying insects and reptiles, should not be deliberately killed, taught to kill, praised and killed with joy; The meat of all killed creatures should not be eaten. There is no difference when you think of all beings as parents, as six relatives, and as your own body. The ancients said: "I am all flesh, with different names." I am the same sex, just changed my body. " One of the precepts of Bodhisattva is "Don't eat meat". Therefore, for thousands of years, Han Buddhists have been vegetarian and don't eat meat, which has become a fine tradition. Not only that, but also always have compassion and love for all sentient beings, and don't be greedy? The idea of killing people has always protected students, often released, not hitting people, not swearing, etc. , and practice the precepts in many ways in daily actions, is the real Buddha disciple.
How to quit stealing? We can't encroach on public property, private property, temples and monks' property, or even take a needle and a grass, but give it to ourselves, steal it, cheat it, or even evade taxes in violation of world laws, take a bus without a ticket, pretend to be an impostor, engage in corruption and fraud, and so on. We shouldn't do anything about it. Don't steal, don't teach him to steal, don't steal also happy. We Buddhists should protect our eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and heart, and resist the five desires of color, name, food and sleep and the six dusts of color, sound, fragrance, taste, touch and law. Be honest, frugal, upright and self-respecting.
How to quit prostitution? In the laity family, there is only prostitution, and there can be no obscene behavior except the official spouse. Becoming a monk, completely abstaining from lust, such as committing crimes against all men and women in the world, is called breaking the precepts. Jing Yun: "Life and death are fundamental, and desire is the first." He also said, "It is better to die for chastity than to live for fornication." Therefore, we Buddhists should abide by this precept, always cultivate the unclean view, read more Buddhist books, avoid karma, and restrain our desires.
How to quit lying? There are four kinds of lies: one is lying, saying it is false and deceiving; Both of them are eloquent, rhetoric and immoral; The three are evil, insulting and slandering, swearing and hurting people; These four men have two tongues, saying this and that, sowing discord. There is also a big lie. For example, ordinary people call themselves saints and say that I testified against Lohan. This is extremely serious and should not be committed. We should persist in not committing the above four kinds of lies, and the other kind of lies is convenient for saving lives, protecting lives and using rights. It is not a sin to say something merciful and beneficial. If you lie or lie for your own convenience, you should repent at once and never do it again.
How to quit drinking? Buddhists are not allowed to drink all kinds of alcohol unless they are seriously ill and cannot be cured by alcohol. The so-called medicinal liquor should also be informed to the public before drinking. I'm not sick. I can't touch a drop of my lips. In ancient times, there was an excellent woman who broke the five commandments because of abstinence from drinking, which led to all kinds of mistakes. People who are addicted to alcohol lose their brains and wisdom, and are prone to accidents and break the law and die. Therefore, they should learn Buddhism and plan ahead.
When we enter the Buddha, we must first convert to the Three Treasures. When we enter Buddhism, we must accept the five precepts, which are the basis for us to learn from Buddhism and become a Buddha. Therefore, we should study the Five Commandments, keep clean and not violate them at all. If we can do this, we can not lose our lives and fall into three ways. While observing the five precepts, we should also actively pursue the ten good deeds.
First, release people, save lives, protect students, and don't kill students. For human beings, we should always save lives, care for the poor, care for young children, help the disabled, help those in urgent need, mediate disputes, and social welfare, charity, maintenance and equal public welfare undertakings. We should do our duty, be brave in taking responsibility, and learn from the ancients' saying, "Save ants in the water, walk without hurting insects, roll the curtain to swallow, and pity me for not lighting a lamp." Always be merciful at any time and place, make extensive practice convenient, let go when you see life, save when you see trouble, and wait for Guanyin's mercy to go to Pu Xian and wish the sea.
Second, giving does not steal. Such as lack of clothing, lack of food and clothing, seeking money to send money, seeking law; Another example is seeing blind people holding hands, helping people with inconvenient legs and feet, giving help when people are in trouble, giving a ride when they get lost, giving advice when they don't understand, giving advice when they quarrel and fight, helping the old man when he falls, trying to save him when he sees suicide, doing something for him when needed, etc., being charitable, being brave, donating money to help others, and sacrificing others.
Third, practicing Brahma (purity) is not immoral. Monks should completely abstain from prostitution, and lay people at home are not allowed to have sexual relations except formal couples. Practice according to precepts, recite Buddhist scriptures, lead a clean and honest life, purify the soul, respect the three treasures, be filial to adoptive parents, be close to mentors, stay away from evil friends, be convinced of cause and effect, widely plant Futian, learn to practice Dharma, cut off Jaken, reform itself, and achieve enlightenment.
Fourth, tell the truth and don't lie. The Diamond Sutra says, "The Tathagata is a true talker, a true talker, a smooth talker, a non-slanderer, and a non-native speaker." We are disciples of the Buddha, and we should not lie, confuse right and wrong, and reverse right and wrong.
Fifth, don't speak English, but speak straight language. "Hokkekyo" said: "If you want to talk about this sutra, avoid jealousy and be slow, deceive evil and be false, and always cultivate quality and go straight." Those who study Buddhism, whose straight heart is the Dojo, should have a straight heart, a straight mouth and a straight line. This is the true nature of Buddhists, rhetoric and deception, which is not what Buddhists should do.
Sixth, the interlanguage does not have two tongues. "Tell the truth" said: "If you persuade me, I will not offend you even if I leave. If nausea confuses him, it is two kinds of tongues that offend him the most and fall into three kinds of evil ways. If you are a human being, the world is evil. " Therefore, when conflicts and quarrels occur between people, we should mediate in good faith, solve difficulties and disputes, resolve grievances and resolve disputes.
Seventh, speak soft words instead of bad mouths. "Hokkekyo" said: "A clean population will never suffer from bad tastes. Everyone who hears it will be happy for the deep and beautiful voice. " As Buddhists, we should be merciful and patient, speak out loudly, and be "gentle, respectful and frugal, not violent". When others hear it, they will gladly accept it. If they swear, swear, abuse and slander, others will certainly suffer as much as a knife, and they will also suffer.
Eighth, not greedy but not clean. Cure greed. There are five kinds of greed, namely wealth, sex, fame, food and sleep. Suffering from man-made work is the main factor that hinders Tao cultivation.
1. greedy for money: don't be greedy for property, but give alms-it's called "greed" if you refuse to give your own property to others, and others want my property, which is called "greed". Greedy people will do whatever it takes to find property. Regardless of law, justice, conscience, harm to others and so on. After being acquired, they have to guard against the fear of loss, do everything possible to ensure safety, market changes, fear, anxiety, and inner boredom with money, so they are restless. How can such a person practice the Holy Way? Therefore, we Buddhists should be merciful, not stingy with our own property, nor greedy for other people's property, and use the money earned from a reasonable life to support parents and teachers, educate children, help relatives and friends in distress, and relieve social welfare undertakings that are sick and lonely. This is a way for Buddhism to persuade people to be merciful and help greed. Everything happens for a reason. When the career is mature, the property will gather, and when the career is separated, the property will be lost. If you gather too much, you lose quickly. If you don't give up money, money will give up on you. This is a certain law, and it cannot be saved by manpower. What's the use of greed The Buddha once said, "There are too many industries that are insatiable and too few industries that are desirable. Everything is troublesome except greed. "
Second, lust: refers to the lust between men and women. Lust comes from love. Because I like his (her) such a beautiful advantage, I have the idea of pursuing it. In order to achieve his goal, he will spare no effort to go through fire and water at any cost, regardless of his living conditions. Even the emperor is unwilling to do it, unpatriotic and unloving beauty. The all-powerful general on the battlefield is obedient to women. Jie Jun, a talented person in the history, failed on women, so why is there such a great charm in the saying that "the hero is sad and the beauty passes"? It turns out that this is the root of life and death for all our sentient beings. The Jue Yuan Sutra says: "If you want to live by love, your life depends on desire, your love is the cause and your love is the result." Therefore, in Buddhism, monks must abstain from prostitution in order to live and die. For example, if they continue to love, such as boiling sand and cooking, they will never become Buddhas if they practice hard, so monks take precepts as the first precept (the main precept). So how to break up prostitution? Breaking prostitution begins with breaking love, that is, starting with thinking. First, respect them and treat all women like sisters and mothers without any malice. Second, the concept of impurities. We think each other's lovely bodies are actually very dirty. Lovely body is just a layer of skin that confuses you. Peeling off the skin is just a pile of pus, blood, phlegm, saliva, feces, urine, tendons, bones and so on. What makes you want to be cute? Under the microscope, all kinds of insects creep in piles and devour each other, and the remaining secretions are excreted through various channels and pores of the whole body, that is, stool, urine, sweat and unclean things. Under the X-ray, it is a terrible skeleton of a pile of skeletons. What you can see under the infrared instrument is a human body composed of three colors: red, yellow and green. After perspective analysis, there may be nothing cute in it! The human body is constantly changing, and it is inevitable that there will be various diseases. Think about all kinds of situations when you are sick, such as crying, vomiting, convulsions, sores, pus discharge, moaning, crying, even madness and sadness. Can you still love? And when I fall asleep, my body is stiff and lifeless, and I drool and snore, my hair is unkempt and I grind my teeth. Is there still love in your dream? Youth is not permanent, and old age passes in a blink of an eye. At that time, I was pale, wrinkled, deaf and dizzy, hunched, and wobbled. Was there love at that time? Until the final death: the former chuckle turned into a zombie, gradually bruised, bleeding, raw and unrecognizable, leaving only a dead bone (see Jiu Si for details). The impure physical facts mentioned above are to awaken our reason, reduce our love and cut off our lust. It's not a taste to sleep alone with a bag full of shit, is it?
3. Greedy for fame: fame is a good thing. Come naturally after work. If you are proud of your reputation, you will not make progress. Obsessed with fame is greed for fame. It's not your fault, and it's even worse to drag it on you. Some people prefer to spend a lot of money on activities in order to be famous, some people prefer to be superior, and some people do all kinds of good things for a good reputation. It is wrong for Buddha to seek fame and gain. The greater the reputation, the more you climb, so you can't practice purity. The name is actually an abstract concept, which has no substance, but it is more subtle and profound than wealth and color, and it is difficult to put it down and change it. Two colleagues, working together, got the same result, both praised him and didn't mention you, and finally they were a little unhappy. After being slandered, they tried to die. Occasionally talk to a big shot, take a photo, or win a world prize, which will never be forgotten. Isn't this all about being famous? Some people say that a gentleman should not be a fairy, but a fairy, and he is not afraid of fame until he goes to hell. This shows how serious the harm of greed for fame is. The Buddhist scriptures say: "For example, burning incense, cigarettes give out all the incense" can be used as a warning to those who are greedy for fame.
Fourth, gluttony: appetite is accompanied by life. The purpose is to satisfy hunger and maintain life. The standard should be a word "full", but gluttonous people are not full. They should eat more delicious food and emphasize umami, nutrition, luxury and seasoning. Pay attention to color, fragrance, taste, etc. It turns out that delicacies are not enough, even snails and ants are listed as top grade. For greed, they killed many lives, spent countless money, wasted precious time and consumed useful spirit, but caused various diseases of the body, because high protein and heavy supplements were not absorbed by everyone, and viruses propagated by various poisonous bacteria on animal carcasses were swallowed into their stomachs. When they were killed, they had a kind of resentment and produced toxins in their blood. Eating a lot of meat and greasy food, chronic disease poisoning and death will inevitably occur one after another, so the diseases and deaths of ordinary people come from overeating, accounting for the vast majority, and few people die of hunger (except famine). Buddhism advocates vegetarianism. First, out of compassion, I can't bear to eat its meat. Second, clean and hygienic to ensure health. Third, the economy. It can also reduce market pressure. Fourth, it is simple and time-saving, and the extra time can be spent on studying hard. Therefore, it is advisable for people who believe in Buddhism to be vegetarian, and those who work hard often stop eating after noon. A famous Indian doctor, Heep, said, "When monks are sick, they should eat less." . It can be seen that overeating is not desirable.
5. Sleepiness: Sleep can regulate physical fatigue, so that you are full of energy after waking up and can continue to work. If you oversleep, you will feel sleepy. People who get into the habit of sleepiness will want to sleep more and more. People who sleep a lot will gain weight, lose energy, have no motivation to work and have no confidence in their careers. If they sit down to practice Buddhism regularly, they will fall asleep. Besides, such people can't do any work well. Buddhism regards it as a fault, and all the great Guang Chen in his life are wasted in lethargy, so the Buddha said, "Why do you want to sleep? I feel that for a thousand years, I don't know Buddhism. " You can be vigilant. The above five kinds of greed are briefly mentioned for your reference. Generally speaking, the root of greed is the body, and the body is the gathering point of evil. We commit crimes to protect our bodies. Since we know that this body is unclean and impermanent, we won't do all kinds of evil things for it. This is the cure for greed.
Ninth, cultivate the concept of compassion without anger. "Hokkekyo" said: "Those who come to the room are compassionate among all beings, and those who come to wear clothes are gentle and patient." "On Wisdom" said: "Great kindness pleases all sentient beings, and great compassion pulls out all sentient beings' sufferings. "Bodhisattva practitioner:" Don't seek happiness for yourself, and hope that all beings will be relieved of their sufferings. "We Buddhists should learn from the compassion of Buddhists and Bodhisattvas, be kind to all sentient beings, such as father, mother and six relatives, and always think about bitterness and joy, and should not be pregnant? Hating anger makes him happy from suffering.
Tenth, cultivate the concept of karma without delusion. "The Origin Classic" said: "Everything happens for a reason, and there is a reason in this life. There is no reason for this, this is destruction. " Seeing that everything is predestined, the cause and effect are endless, the space is boundless, interdependent, complicated, endless and continuous, forming a causal relationship of "all over the country, poor San Ji". What else can you think of? The above ten good methods should be practiced from three aspects: body, mouth and mind, and from six aspects: eyes, nose, tongue, body and mind, so as to achieve purity in three aspects, purity and harmony in six aspects, stay away from five desires, and be a pure Buddhist disciple. We Buddhist disciples should not only know some Buddhist terms and increase some Buddhist knowledge, but more importantly, have a sincere belief in explaining and repairing the certificate, and be sure that the five precepts and ten good deeds can make us happy from suffering. If you practice hard and stick to it to the end, you will win the unity of heaven and man, and you will be interested in hearing, feeling, bodhisattva and even supreme bodhi. If so, for the country, such people are also good citizens who are patriotic and law-abiding. Let's talk about the truth of radiant six degrees first. There are two ways for Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to educate all beings: to be sure and to be accepted. It is difficult to adjust the good law for all beings who are strong and difficult, but they must be convinced by majesty to turn evil into good. Therefore, tenacious beings have compassion from the inside, strength from the outside, and anger from King Kong. This is a convenient way. For example, parents severely punish disobedient children, hoping that their children will make progress until they are willing to listen, or use acceptable methods.
The word "take" in the four pictures means to guide and accept. The four images, that is, giving, loving words, benefiting deeds and colleagues, are the four methods that Bodhisattva should adhere to when accepting all beings:
1. Giving, there are three kinds of giving: ① Financial giving, in which gold, silver, treasures, food, clothes, medicines and other things are given to all sentient beings, which is called external financial giving; Giving to others with physical and mental strength is called giving within the family. (2) Practice Buddhism, comply with people's requirements and tell them the truth of Buddhism; Print Buddhist scriptures for people to see; Or recite one's merits to all beings, which is Buddhism. 3 fearless application, giving medicine to patients; For those who get lost, point out the direction; Mediate and apologize to those who have done wrong; Anything that promotes world peace and social peace, such as disaster relief, is called fearlessness.
Second, the love story "Heart Sutra" said: "Every man is my father and every woman is my mother." As parents, naturally, dear. Hua Yan Jing said: "If a bodhisattva can conform to all sentient beings, it can support all Buddhas. If all sentient beings are happy, all Tathagata will be happy. " Goode said: "In this life, people are happy, but in the last life, people were happy." Therefore, we should speak kindly to people, be kind and comforting, be honest, be frank, be reconciled and be gentle, so that they can respect the three treasures and follow the teachings.
Third, it is good for travel. Pu Xian's last wish said: "Be a good doctor for all diseases; Point out the right path for those who have lost their way; In the dark night, for the sake of light; Poverty is hidden. " We Bodhisattva practitioners have three professions: body, mouth and mind. We should do things, talk and be mindful. We should take the interests of all beings as the starting point, be ready to help others and be kind to others, and people will naturally be happy to be taught.
4. Colleague, Guanyin Pumenpin said, "It should be said that the elderly are in good health, that is, they are in good health now; It should be said that laymen are laymen; It should be said that the people who killed the official body are now killing the official body; ..... "Guanyin Bodhisattva Pumen appeared, incarnated with the class, and Qi Xin worked together, and the classmates were initiated, that is, like-minded, so it was easy to get Bodhi. The above four methods are all convenient for Bodhisattva to benefit all beings. "It is convenient to know all sentient beings, and it is clever to contribute to Buddhism." That's what I'm saying.
Let's talk about six degrees again. The word "degree" contains the meaning of economic intersection and transformation. Indian Sanskrit means "paramita", which means the other side. In other words: you can spend the sea of life and death to the other side of happiness. Six degrees is six ways for people to cross the sea of life and death. These six methods are:
First of all, giving is greedy,
Second, the crime of breaking the precepts,
Third, the degree of humiliation,
Fourth, the fine progress is slack,
Fifth, the degree of meditation is scattered,
Sixth, Prajna is stupid.
First, giving: giving is giving to others with welfare benefits. The Infinite Life Sutra says: "Giving is good at people" is called giving. Giving can be divided into three types:
(1) Charity: giving money and property to others. For example, we give generously, or help the poor, or help people in urgent need. This is called giving. Doing things for others is also a kind of financial aid.
(2) Buddhist practice: refers to the inspiration of personality and the guidance of learning. Being able to tell others the truth of Buddhism, such as giving lectures and sending scriptures, so that people can get the right way to live, is called Buddhist practice.
(3) Fearlessness: it refers to saving the suffering of others and freeing others from fear and anxiety. When others encounter misfortune, we use words to comfort each other, help them solve their difficulties, help them tide over the crisis, and inspire their courage and confidence when they are depressed. This is called fearless giving.
Giving should be based on compassion and with joy. Don't think that I can give (feel superior) and you are being given (feel contempt), but also care about the quantity, value and price of the property given. I even want to get what I deserve, or I need someone to thank you in various ways. This is all wrong.
Second, keep the precepts: precepts have the function of preventing mistakes. Generally, people who believe in Buddhism and learn from Buddhism must abide by the precepts and stay away from mistakes in order to be physically and mentally stable, develop their wisdom and become Buddhists. There are five precepts, eight precepts, ten precepts, foot precepts, bodhisattva precepts and so on, which are divided into three types. (The detailed provisions are in the book of commandments) It is called Sanju Realm.
(1) Abide by laws and regulations: that is, abide by Buddhist precepts and do not do all kinds of evil things (if you do, you will break the precepts).
2 Do good deeds and keep precepts: do all good deeds (if you don't do good deeds, you will quit).
3. Practice the precepts of all sentient beings: practice all good laws to benefit all sentient beings (if you don't save all sentient beings, you will break the precepts).
The above three precepts, practice, behave in the world, be dignified and polite, do not commit dignity, do not do all kinds of evil things, do not say all kinds of evil words, and judge all evil things. The second step is to do all good things that are beneficial to the public world. The third step is to practice all good methods to make the heart clean, so as to teach all sentient beings and achieve a state of purity and peace. The Buddha said: "All evil things should be avoided, and all good people should pursue and purify themselves. This is all about Buddhism." That's what it means, how important it is to observe the precepts in Buddhism.
Third, bear the burden of humiliation: others beat and scold me, satirize, slander, insult, injustice, etc. , but can endure, can't live? Hatred, revenge and regret. It is an indispensable cultivation skill to learn Buddhism and do good deeds. The ancients once said, "A little tolerance leads to great mischief." Besides, learning Buddhism is a long-term and great undertaking. What we have accumulated through hard work will be remembered without humiliation? Destroyed by fire. "One thought" in Buddhist scriptures? From the bottom of my heart, a million barriers have been opened. "That's the truth. The suicide note said: "A ninja who can do it can be called a powerful adult. "People who study Buddhism should be broad-minded, knowledgeable and cultivated. I didn't? I don't hate people. Pity for the wicked infringes on them, because they are ignorant and unreasonable. To achieve great things, we must have firm confidence on the road to goodness. It is not hindered by the hardships of adversity, not moved by the happiness of prosperity, not shaken by cold, heat, snow, hunger, thirst, aging and disease. In practicing Buddhism. In order to achieve everything, everything is born of nature, and it is asexual by fate. No matter what you do, it's the same. This is a profound achievement of humiliation and kung fu. We should study hard.
Fourth, diligence: diligence is progress. Excellence is not miscellaneous, and progress is not retreating. Five degrees beyond six degrees can only be achieved by diligence. If we want to do something successfully, we must make unremitting efforts to achieve our goal. Learning Buddhism is a great event, especially so. For example, farming, two hoes today and two hoes tomorrow, will not yield anything. Drill a hole, drill east and drill west, and you can't get in a hole. You can't learn martial arts well if you stop learning everything about those eighteen weapons. So be precise, diligent and thorough. Of course, we must overcome all kinds of difficulties in our progress and always encourage ourselves; If you don't advance in your studies, you will retreat, and time will never return. What others can do, why can't I do it? Life is impermanent, and we must have the determination not to give up until we reach our goal.
Five, meditation: Sanskrit Zen, this cloud is quiet, the sixth ancestor Huineng said: "The foreign minister is Zen, and the internal chaos is fixed." Also known as Zen, it is an effort to sweep away all delusions in the heart and focus on one situation. Meditation occupies an important position in Buddhism, so there is a saying that there is no Buddha and there is no Buddha. Sentence. You can't develop wisdom without determination, and of course you can't become a Buddha. To practice meditation, we should have a quiet environment, reduce greed for money, color, fame, food and sleep, and eliminate? Hate the heart, usually act according to the discipline of purity, pay attention to two kinds of interference, sit cross-legged, and adjust the body, qi and mind. Founder has "external edges, no breathing inside, heart like a wall, so he can enter the Tao." These four sentences can sum up everything. For details, please read books such as Introduction to Sit-in, Station, Six Wonderful Doors, etc. When you meditate for a certain period of time, you will have all kinds of clean, happy and strange realms. At this time, you should not be insatiable and have evil thoughts, otherwise you will fall into a wrong path, be possessed and be crazy. Zen practice must be guided by a master, based on observing precepts, centering on precepts, and centering on wisdom is the law of learning Buddhism. Meditation is profound. You can get the first meditation, the second meditation, the third meditation, the fourth meditation and even all kinds of great decisions. At that time, the walker's physical and mental happiness was unprecedented, but all the happiness in the world could not be compared. He can give birth to a colorless world until his death, proving nirvana.
6. Prajna: Prajna is Sanskrit, which translates into wisdom. It has profound meanings, such as knowledge, separation, simple choice and decision. Knowing the truth is the highest wisdom. Harmonious and clear, ordinary written language can't be understood. It can only be understood by metaphor, such as a cloud: "Prajna is like a fire, which burns at the touch, like a sword, which can cut everything." Prajna knows all the laws and doesn't dye all the laws, just like a mirror that can see far and near without adhering to them. In the sixth degree, it is the eye that makes the practitioner not persistent. No matter what you do, you must be wise and practice Buddhism. Without wisdom, you will not only get twice the result with half the effort, but also go astray. It can be seen that the importance of Prajna guides people from relative truth to absolute truth. The above six degrees are the bodhisattva's great wish to transform herself and be happy and affectionate. These six-degree methods are interrelated and mutually reinforcing. Practitioners should practice together for six times and not neglect one thing. If you don't give alms, you can't take all beings; It is difficult to learn wisdom by giving without keeping precepts; If you endure humiliation and are not diligent, then your career will be difficult to achieve; Diligent and not humiliating; The influence of evil is hard to disappear; Meditation without wisdom is stubborn; Wisdom without meditation makes everything easy to move. Therefore, we should be bodhi-minded, learn from the bodhisattva's wishes, and practice six degrees and ten thousand lines extensively until we achieve Buddha's fruit.
In short, the five precepts and ten good deeds, four strokes and six degrees, are the basic practice of Buddhist believers and the only way from ordinary people to Buddhism. President Zhao Puchu advocates the idea of Buddhism on earth, and hopes that everyone will follow the Five Commandments and Ten Kindnesses to purify themselves, cultivate under the temptation and benefit the people for six times, consciously participate in socialist construction and realize a paradise on earth. (Yang Yin)
