Wang Changling (698 -757), a native of Jinyang, Hedong (now Taiyuan, Shanxi), was a frontier poet in the prosperous Tang Dynasty. Wang Changling's poetic realm is vigorous, open and unique. In the Ming Dynasty, Wang Shizhen thought that only Wang Changling could compete with Li Bai, which was listed as a "miracle".
