iron cliff body
It is a poetic style in Yuan Dynasty literature. Tieya is the nickname of Yang Weizhen, a poet in Yuan Dynasty. He believes that poetry is the expression of personal feelings, advocates the individualization of artistic creation, tries to break the poetic style of lacking vitality and similar shape in the mid-Yuan Dynasty, and pursues the transcendence and strangeness of artistic conception, thus creating a unique "iron cliff style" in the poetic circles of the Yuan Dynasty.
Yang Weizhen's Gu Yue Fu best embodies the characteristics of "Iron Cliff". Most of these poems are works of reminiscing about the past and praising history, combining the strengths of Yuefu, Li Bai, Du Fu and Li He in Han and Wei Dynasties, and breaking through the sweet and smooth boundary of poems in the mid-Yuan Dynasty with magnificent fantasy, giving people a feeling of rock-breaking.
