Interpretation: I slept soundly on a spring night and didn’t know when it would be dawn. When I woke up, I only heard the chirping of birds everywhere.
Remembering the sound of wind and rain last night, I don’t know how many flowers were knocked down.
2. "Thoughts on a Quiet Night" by Li Bai of the Tang Dynasty
There was a bright moonlight in front of the bed,
It was suspected to be frost on the ground.
Look up at the bright moon,
Look down at your hometown.
Interpretation: The bright moonlight shines on the window paper, as if there is a layer of frost on the ground.
I couldn't help but raise my head and look at the bright moon in the sky outside the window. I couldn't help but lower my head and think about my hometown far away.
3. "Climbing the Stork Tower" Tang Dynasty? Wang Zhihuan
The sun is shining over the mountains,
The Yellow River flows into the sea.
If you want to see a thousand miles away,
go to the next level.
Interpretation: The setting sun slowly sinks against the Western Mountains, and the mighty Yellow River rushes towards the East China Sea.
If you want to see enough of the thousands of miles of scenery, you have to climb to a higher tower.
4. "Snow on the River" Tang Dynasty? Liu Zongyuan
Thousands of mountains and birds flew away,
Ten thousand paths of people disappeared.
A lone man with a coir raincoat in his boat, fishing alone in the snow in the cold river.
Interpretation: All mountains, birds are all cut off; all roads, no trace of human beings.
In a lone boat on the river, the fisherman wears a raincoat and a hat; fishing alone, he is not afraid of ice and snow.
5. "Deng Le Youyuan" Tang Dynasty? Li Shangyin
Feeling unwell in the evening,
driven to the ancient plain.
The sunset is infinitely beautiful,
it is only near dusk.
Interpretation: As evening approached, I felt uncomfortable; I drove to Leyouyuan and wanted to get rid of my worries.
Seeing the sunset is infinitely beautiful, with a brilliant golden light; but it is almost dusk, and the good times are coming to an end.
