The modern transformation of China's poetry is more influenced by western modern poetry concepts and forms. However, the influence of China's ancient poetry tradition on China's modern poetry is very strong. Drawing on the traditional consciousness and potential influence constitutes a complex inheritance relationship between China's ancient poetry and modern poetry, and consciously shows the personalized creation of modern poets in accepting tradition, which is very prominent in the art of poetic imagery. Poets' creative inspiration and life experience are all condensed in images, and poets and readers mainly rely on images to communicate their feelings and hearts. The image relationship between ancient poetry and modern poetry is rich and complex. This paper only discusses the inheritance relationship between China's modern poetry and ancient poetry in image art from three aspects, and also discusses the development of modern poet's image art in inheritance relationship.
