Wang Jiaxin is a contemporary poet and poetic critic in China. 1957 Hubei native, worked in the countryside for three years after graduating from high school. After the Cultural Revolution, he was admitted to the Chinese Department of Wuhan University and began to write poems. After graduation, he worked as a teacher and editor. He is the author of poetry collections, such as Commemoration, Cliff Wandering, Wang Jiaxin Poetry Collection, Poetics Collection, The Nightingale in Its Own Time, Literary Prose Collection, Enthusiasm for Secrecy, etc., as well as Selected Contemporary Experimental Poems of China (co-edited with others), Selected Contemporary European and American Poems, and China Poetry: A Memorandum for the 1990s, etc.
