Lu Mang (192 ~ 1979), formerly known as Li Yanhua, also known as Li Xun, was born in Shanghai. Joined the New Fourth Army in 1939. After liberation, he served as a member of the party group, secretary of the secretariat, deputy secretary-general and head of the poetry group of the creative Committee, director of the Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and editorial board of Shanghai Literature, Harvest and Germination magazines. Lu Mang is a writer, poet and painter. His other major works include a collection of poems, Sunrise in the East, Pentium Horseshoe, Selected Poems of Lu Mang, Selected Lyrics of Lu Mang and Lu Mang Picture Book. Songs written by him, such as "Playing my beloved pipa" and "We young people have a fiery heart", are widely circulated among the masses.
Mrs. Lu Mang, Wang Zhuangxiao, former deputy secretary of the Changning District Party Committee in Shanghai during the Cultural Revolution, has five daughters, all with their mother's surname.
