Qiao Yu's ode to the motherland

In the east of the world, there is an ancient country, beautiful and vast.

In the east of the world, there is a great nation, hardworking and strong;

The rushing Yellow River is her blood,

The towering Mount Tai is her backbone,

This is our motherland-China!

1949, a great man waved his giant arm and announced with one voice that the haze of China for five thousand years had been dispelled;

1978, a giant, with superhuman courage, sized up the situation and opened the dusty door to the world!

1997, she ushered in the fragrance of bauhinia.

1999, she added the scent of water lily!

Through the storm of the century, the Great Wall of Wan Li flies through the clouds like a dragon.

Crossing the long river of years, Mount Everest stands proudly on the highest slope in the world like an eagle!

Lyrics: The sun jumps out of the East China Sea and the earth shines. The river stopped roaring and the mountains opened their hearts. Ah ... birds fly high, flowers bloom, the country is magnificent and the people are heroic ... Our great motherland has entered the socialist era, and so has our great motherland. There is a bumper harvest of rice in the south of the Yangtze River, a bumper harvest of wheat in Man Cang in the north of the Yangtze River, red sorghum and white cotton, and many cattle and sheep cover the Tianshan Mountains ... molten iron is burning like fire, and blast furnaces are row upon row. Look at the oil rolling into the sea in Karamay wasteland. The Yangtze River Bridge breaks the sky, the Kangzang Plateau clears the way, and the Sanmenxia project is big, even if the water in the Yellow River moves to heaven. Ah ... the sun jumped out of the East China Sea, the earth shone, the rivers stopped roaring, and the mountains opened their hearts. Birds fly high, flowers bloom, mountains and rivers are magnificent, and people are heroic. Our great motherland has entered the socialist era. ...

1957, in order to celebrate the eighth anniversary of New China, the Central News Recording Film Studio filmed the theme song of Song of Ancestors, the first large-scale wide-screen documentary in China. Among them, the theme song of the same name "Ode to Ancestors" is a magnificent large-scale chorus, written by Qiao Yu and composed by Liu Chi. Singing is integrated into the vivid documentary pictures of the film, enthusiastically eulogizing the brilliant achievements of new China. The whole song is full of lofty artistic conception and soul-stirring, and the love for the motherland and national pride are beyond words.

Ode to Ancestor, written by Qiao Yu and composed by Liu Chi, was written by 1957. It is one of two mixed chorus (the other is Singing Everywhere Tonight) created by the color wide-screen documentary Ode to Ancestor (formerly known as National Day 1957). The film was shot on 1958.
