Speaking of "poetry", many people first think of Tang poetry. Why are there so many poets in Tang Dynasty? The Tang Dynasty was a powerful and prosperous dynasty with developed economy. Chang 'an was an open international metropolis at that time, and the developed economy also brought cultural prosperity. Tang poetry is an example. The biggest difference between Tang poetry and previous poems is the appearance of metrical poems, which are called modern poems, quatrains and metrical poems, divided into five words and seven words. Metric poetry emphasizes antithesis, adhesion and rhyme, and its requirements are very strict. There are also ancient styles in the Tang Dynasty, just like ancient poems before the Tang Dynasty, there are no strict restrictions. The Tang Dynasty was the heyday of poetry, which produced many outstanding poets, more than any other period, such as four outstanding poets in the early Tang Dynasty, Li Bai, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Wang Wei, Li Shangyin and so on. It is difficult for other dynasties to surpass the Tang Dynasty and tang style, which has influenced us to this day. Let us remember and encourage everyone to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese poetry culture.

Why Tang poetry is excellent is the peak of poetry. Why is it difficult for future generations to surpass? Answer the second question first. Philosophically, everything has its ups and downs. When a new thing, including the cultural field, reaches a certain peak, it will form a formula, which will easily solidify people's thoughts, melt people's free thinking space, blindly worship and imitate, and try to find out some golden rules of poetry from it. In this way, people's thinking space and imagination are bound, and the classics are hard to be surpassed, but the times and social reality are constantly changing! Answer the first question again. We should understand the historical background, material environment, political environment and cultural environment of the formation of Tang poetry. Due to the lack of time and space, we can only find the root of the problem by seriously thinking and reading the ancient history of China. First, the fragmented history of the country in Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties was unified in Sui and Tang Dynasties; Second, the cultural and artistic history of the Northern and Southern Dynasties and the widespread spread of Buddhism after the Eastern Han Dynasty; Third, the political enlightenment and the rule of chastity in the Tang Dynasty, the emergence of the prosperous era of Kaiyuan, and the freedom and openness of thought.
