Li Bai and Du Fu are the most dazzling Gemini in the history of China's poetry. Although they had only a brief intersection in their long life, they established a profound friendship. When they met, Li Bai was 44 and Du Fu was 33. Li Bai just spent three years in Chang 'an, devoted himself to Hanlin, and was given back gold by Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. His poems and his "immortal depravity" Shen Feng are famous all over the world. However, Du Fu has not written most of the poems that established his lofty position in the history of literature. Compared with Li Bai, he is only a young man of literature and art in the poetry circle of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. But the difference in age and fame didn't affect them at all. In the third year of Tianbao (744) and the fourth year of Tianbao (745), they traveled together in today's Henan and Shandong provinces and had a very happy time. In fact, Du Fu ended his "Happy 89" roaming shortly after bidding farewell to Li Bai, and went to West Chang 'an to seriously start a long life of seeking fame.
