Stars is Bing Xin's first collection of poems, which was written under the influence of the Indian poet Tagore's Birds. In the author's words, it is to collect some "fragmentary ideas" in a collection, including three aspects: praising maternal love and innocence, worshiping and praising nature, and thinking and feeling about life.

In Ba Jin's Stars, through the detailed description of the starry sky, the author's longing for a better life and a faint feeling of parting are expressed.
As far as language features are concerned, Stars is concise and meaningful, fresh and elegant, crystal clear and beautiful, clear and fluent, and has unique artistic charm. It writes poems with other poets, either simply narrative or simply lyrical.
