Have you ever confessed to God and repented? What has changed since confession?

I once confessed my sins to God and repented. After I confessed my sin, my guilt eased, because I had already accepted my sin to God, and Jesus Christ had accepted my sin and forgiven me. Now I hate sin like the Lord and stay away from it, but I am bound to commit a crime because I have made up my mind to repent all my life. I believe that God will change me and make me more and more like the Lord.
