The Fen River meanders through the hinterland of Yuncheng and flows into the Yellow River. The lush Fen River Valley is rich in water and grass, surrounded by villages and clusters of homes. Under the setting sun, the waves are sparkling and the water birds are chirping. The Dragon Boat Festival is the best time to collect medicinal materials. "There is nothing better to say than Fen Juhe." In the low wetland beside the Fen River, a young man was picking wild spinach. "His son is extremely beautiful. Incomparable in beauty, he is different from the road." In the eyes of the girls washing clothes by the river, the figure of the young man collecting medicinal materials is extremely handsome, as beautiful as flowers and jade, better than the sons of the princes.
Mo, also known as wild spinach, mountain rhubarb, goat's hoof, sour mother, etc., is a kind of Chinese herbal medicine. Xu (xu), said to be called Alisma, is a perennial aquatic or bog herb. The whole plant is poisonous, and the underground tubers are more toxic. It is also a Chinese herbal medicine.
Highway, official name, in charge of the carriages used by princes and guests to worship; Gongxing (háng), official name, "those who follow the public, and control the procession of the monarch's military chariots"; Gongzu, the provincial title of the official of the public clan, official Name, the son of a senior official in charge of teaching. Highways, public lines, and public clans are all held by the sons of ministers. Therefore, the words "different from the highway", "different from the public line" and "different from the public clan" in the poem do not emphasize the official position, but the identity of the son of the public minister.
"Preface to Mao's Poems" says: "'Fen Ju'an' is about thrift. The gentleman is thrifty so that he can be diligent, but the prick is not polite." It says that because the gentleman is thrifty, he personally picks Mo and Mo. Mulberry, it is out of character, so I wrote this poem to prick it. It is obviously a folk song, but it must be linked to a gentleman of high status, so I cannot agree with it. Wen Yiduo pointed out in "Fengshi Leichao" that "this is a poem about a woman longing for a man", which is undoubtedly correct. In the eyes of a nostalgic woman, the flowing Fen water is beautiful, the green herbs are beautiful, the lover by the river is beautiful, everything is so beautiful and picturesque.
Fenhe River was called "Fen" or "Fenshui" in ancient times. It is the second largest tributary of the Yellow River and the mother river of the Three Jin Dynasties. It originates in northwest Shanxi, flows through northern Shanxi, central Shanxi, and southern Shanxi, and joins the Yellow River in Miaoqian Village, Ronghe Town, Wanrong County. A piece of alluvial land is formed where it enters the river, shaped like a human buttocks, so it is called Zhishang. During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, a treasure tripod was discovered here, and research proved that this tripod was the legendary "Zezhong Fangqiu" where ancient sacrifices were made. So Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty visited the place in person, held a grand welcoming ceremony, and renamed the place Baoding (now Wanrong Baoding Township). The following year, the country's name was changed to Yuanding, and then the Houtu Temple was built here. He held national memorial ceremonies here eight times and wrote the famous poem "Autumn Wind Ci". Later, emperors of all dynasties came here to worship Houtu more than 20 times. This Houtu Temple became the ancestral temple of the Temple of Earth in Beijing.
The Fenhe River has meandered for thousands of years. By the Tang Dynasty, Xue Rengui was no longer collecting medicinal herbs in Fenhe Bay, but was engaged in shooting wild geese for a living. He practiced martial arts throughout his life and wrote the "Three Arrows" "Dingtian Mountain", "Bravely conquering Liaodong", "Taking off the hat and retreating from all enemies", "Good policy to stop fighting", "Benevolent Goguryeo", "Love the people like a city" and other legends.
When I was a child, I could still see people hunting geese. Instead of using bows and arrows, they fixed long muskets on bicycles to improve the stability of the shot. In a wheat field in winter, you can quietly approach a flock of geese. With a shout, the flock of geese will take off. The time to fire is when the flock of geese have just taken off and are not high above the ground. Often gunshots were fired, but no wild geese were seen landing. After a period of disappointment, the goose hunter rode his bicycle and rushed to another place, and we continued to pick up goose droppings in the wheat field. The green goose poop has a lot of plant fiber and has the green taste of wheat seedlings. It is hard when it is frozen in the weather and can be picked up directly by hand. It is a good feed for pigs.
In ancient times, southern Shanxi had a humid climate, fertile land, dense vegetation, and luxuriant grass. Scenes of ancient people collecting herbs and grass often appeared in poetry. As farming developed and matured, the land was fully utilized, and the cultivated land in Fenhe Bay has reached the river bank. Now wild poria, bitter herbs, cyanobacteria, Alisma, vetch, etc. almost no longer exist. Southern Shanxi, where Fenhe Bay is located, was a prosperous land during the farming era. Shanxi folk proverb says: "Rejoice at Fenhe Bay and cry at Luliang Mountain. If you make do with southeastern Shanxi, you will die without leaving Yanmen Pass."
Aha, in Fenhe Bay, there are young people who gather medicinal herbs and young people who shoot wild geese. In our generation, there are only young people who pick up wild goose droppings! Later, the wild goose poop could no longer be picked up, the environment deteriorated, and the emptying of the wild goose array became a distant memory.
Unexpectedly, last winter I saw a rare sight of a group of wild geese flying overhead, calling each other in response. I had not heard that kind of call for many years. In addition, pheasants, squirrels, hedgehogs, turtle doves, tits and other animals are increasingly appearing around us, indicating that the ecological environment is developing for the better in recent years.
