Xue Baoqin s catkin poem Xijiang Moon;
Hanyuan is sporadic and limited, and Sui Dykes are dotted. Three spring career pays east wind, bright moon and plum blossom is a dream.
In several courtyards, whose house is covered with fragrant snow? Jiangnan Jiangbei is generally like this, but it is hateful to leave people!
[Notes]
1. Hanyuan-Royal Garden of Han Dynasty. There were thirty-six gardens in the Han Dynasty, and many willows were planted in Yichun Garden (Qujiangchi) in the southeast of Chang 'an. Later, Liu Chengxing was listed as an official residence, but it was far less than Suidi, so it was called "limited".
2. Sui Dyke-See the note of Looking Back in Guangling.
3. A bright moon and a plum blossom dream-later generations thought that "plum blossom" was out of season, so they changed it to "pear blossom" (Cheng Gaoben), but they didn't know that this was an allusion to "dream breaking" (see the poem "Give Red Plum"). When Cho Se Ung woke up from the plum blossom tree, he saw that "the moon was setting and crossing, but he was just disappointed." So I used the word "bright moon". It is also said in the novel that Baoqin married Mei Hanlin's son, and the word "plum blossom" may be hidden.
4. falling red-falling flowers. It means that spring has passed. Using "several places", we can see that there is more than one decline.
5. Xiang Xue-a metaphor for catkins, suggesting the sadness caused by the scenery. Curtains, boudoir.
6. Generally the same-all the same.
7. "Partial eclipse" sentence-the ancients bid farewell with folding willows. Catkin falling easily evokes the sadness of parting.
[Appreciation]
If we compare this poem of Xue Baoqin with her previous poem "Give Red Plum" and her oral poem "Poem about the Daughter of a Real Country", we can easily believe that Zhu Lou's dream is incomplete, and "leaving others to hate" is her future destiny. Even the homesickness of a foreign land and the sadness of a moonlit night can be found between the lines. In addition, Bao Qin's bleak personal prospects also reflected that some big families at that time had gone with the wind and fallen into the red. "The career of Sanchun pays the east wind, and the bright moon and plum blossoms are dreams." This is Bao Qin's melancholy and the author's sigh.
Is there any secret in this catkin word? Xue Baoqin's secret. I thought there was. Let's analyze it
Uptown:
Hanyuan is sporadic and limited, and Sui Dykes are dotted. Three spring career pays east wind, bright moon and plum blossom is a dream.
The first two sentences are very simple, talking about willow trees that were once widely planted in Hanyuan and Suidi. But the last two sentences are crucial. Pay attention to two key words, one is "three spring" and the other is "plum blossom".
Let's talk about "three springs" first. In A Dream of Red Mansions, there are famous stories of "Three Spring Strives for Early Spring Scenery" and "After Three Spring, the fragrance is exhausted". Therefore, I think the so-called "three spring" refers to Jia Yingchun, Jia Tanchun and Jia Xichun. Jia Yingchun married Sun Yat-sen Wolf and was tortured to death. Jia Tanchun married a country in the sea, and the world fell. Jia Xichun saw through the world and became a monk. It's really all paid to Dongfeng, but it's empty
And plum blossoms? I have said many times before that Xue Baoqin is closely related to Meihua, which actually implies that she is engaged to Mei Hanlin's son. In addition, I also discussed that Xue Baoqin finally married Mei Hanlin's son (see my article "Why Xue Baoqin in a Dream of Red Mansions is not in Chapter 12"). Therefore, these two sentences should be understood as follows: After 1980s, Xue Baoqin became a monk in Jia Xichun, and when the Jia family was in danger, he hurriedly married into the Mei family. From Jia Fu's experience in the third spring to his hasty marriage to Mei's family for fear of breaking the contract again, Xue Baoqin was too busy to adapt, because it was a "dream", as if he had had a dream. In this way, Wounded City actually reveals the approximate time period and plot of the marriage with the Mei family after the 1980s.
Xiatan:
In several courtyards, whose house is covered with fragrant snow? Jiangnan Jiangbei is generally like this, but it is hateful to leave people!
This is my understanding. Married to the Mei family, she suddenly came to Jiangnan from Jiangbei. Strange environment, strange things, Xue Baoqin is still so strange to everything in Mei family, so he asked, "How many yards are there in Mei family? Whose fragrant snow curtain is there? "
Of course, Xue's ancestral home is from Nanjing and he is a southerner, so he is used to life in the south. The so-called "Jiangnan Jiangbei is generally so". However, Xue Baoqin still misses the Xue family in crisis, including Aunt Xue, Baochai Xue, Pan Xue and his brothers, Daiyu and Baoyu in the Grand View Garden, and relatives who have lived together for many years and given her deep love for Jia's family. What happened to them? Since then, we have separated from them and rarely seen them. Will Jia Fu and Xue Jia have anything? All these tormented Xue Baoqin, who hated herself for not being able to help the people she loved. So her mood at that time was "determined to leave people and hate people!"
In this way, Cao Xueqin implicitly explained to us the general trend of Xue Baoqin after the 1980s.
