Seven Laws to Shaoshan

Don't dream vaguely to curse the passing of Sichuan, so my hometown was thirty-two years ago. The red flag rolled up the serf halberd, and the black hand hung the overlord whip.

I dare to teach the sun and the moon to change into a new sky for the sake of sacrifice and ambition. I like to see thousands of waves of rice and rice, and heroes everywhere are dying.

Translation:

How many dreams curse the passage of time after parting? It has been thirty-two years since I left you in my hometown. The red flag blows the peasants' arms, while the enemy holds high the whip of the overlord.

Because there are too many ambitions, there will be sacrifices, but I dare to turn the world upside down with a new look. I like to see large crops rolling like waves again, and farmers' heroes come back from work in the twilight.

The Seven Laws to Shaoshan, by reviewing the revolutionary history of Shaoshan people and describing the bumper harvest enjoyed by people's commune members through enthusiastic labor, praised the revolutionary people's arduous fighting spirit, praised the style of China people's struggle against heaven and earth, and clearly embodied Mao Zedong's lofty ideological realm.

Extended information:

From June 25 to 27, 1959, Mao Zedong, accompanied by Luo Ruiqing and Zhou Xiaozhou, returned from Changsha to his hometown after 32 years' absence. After arriving at 5 o'clock in the afternoon on June 25th, I stayed at No.1 Building in Lujiawan (now changed to No.1 Building in Songshan Hotel), that is, I talked with local cadres about food, water conservancy, etc., and read documents until late at night.

At dawn the next day, I went to Nanzhutuo to visit my parents' cemetery, visit my neighborhood and former residence, inspect Shaoshan School and take photos with teachers and students as a souvenir. In the afternoon, I visited Mao Shi Ancestral Hall and went swimming in Shaoshan Reservoir near Dishui Cave. Many people surrounded the shore. After Mao Zedong swam ashore, he took photos with the farmers and inspected the production situation along the way.

In the evening, we set up a banquet at our own expense for relatives, martyrs, old underground party member, members of the old farmers' association and more than 5 members of the old Red Guard. After the guests dispersed, Mao Zedong returned to Songshan House in Shaoshan Hotel, where he was full of thoughts and thoughts. He stayed up all night, pacing back and forth for a while, lying down and meditating, and staring at the window for a while. According to the staff around him, Mao Zedong was so excited that he almost stayed up all night.

Later, I leaned against the bed rail and quilt, put a piece of white paper on the bottom of the newspaper, painted and wrote on it with a pencil, murmured and hummed. After more than two hours, I stopped my pen, intoned and chanted, and took a pen to write a line, so this song "Seven Laws to Shaoshan" came out.

This seven laws describes the author's true feelings when he returned to his hometown after 32 years' absence. By reviewing the revolutionary history of Shaoshan people, and describing the bumper harvest of people's commune members through enthusiastic labor, this paper praised the revolutionary people's arduous fighting spirit, praised the style of China people's struggle against heaven and earth, and clearly embodied the author's lofty ideological realm.
