I was very excited to know that the poet Ms. Gong Ruping could come to our school to guide poetry teaching. I have always been confused about teaching poetry, and I don’t know how to let children create their own poems.
In fact, I have no inspiration to write poetry. In my daily poetry teaching, I find that I always fall into a fixed pattern. Let the children first read the poem, read out the emotion, then fill in the blanks, follow the example to write the poem, and finally create their own. However, this kind of teaching design always feels the same. Children are always guided by teachers and have very little to think about.
After listening to the poet's lecture, I found that it is not difficult to open up students' imagination. As long as you can seize the opportunity, writing poetry is actually very simple.
The most important thing when writing poetry is imagination. Let students observe the things around them and expand their thinking. Don't stick to ordinary things, think about things that others dare not think, and write about things that others dare not write. . This is also to avoid having the same ideas as others when creating.
In addition to imagination, children's poems are actually inseparable from the word "interesting", and the same is true in daily writing. It doesn't matter if children's writing is relatively immature, as long as it can touch people's hearts. Teachers should create different ranges of life scenes for students, between people, between people and animals, between people and nature, etc., to broaden students' material selection and thinking areas. Gradually, students learn to pay attention to the little things around them and write down what they see at any time. Due to the short nature of poems, the writing time is short, and there are more impromptu poems. Although children's poems are very simple and rough, not so exquisite, children's poems pursue a natural and uncarved truth.
Poetry is actually the presentation of one's inner thoughts, especially children's poetry. It does not have to be neat or confrontational, as long as it can express emotions and share them with people, it is the best.
Teaching children’s poetry in primary schools is a comprehensive and complex process that requires every Chinese teacher to take it seriously and continue the long-standing tradition of ancient teacher teaching, because “poetry is the expression of human memory.” . Only through the inheritance of culture and poetry can we, in this ancient land of China, enable our children and teenagers in their blooming years to dialogue with tradition and communicate with the future while listening to poetry. As Tolstoy said, poets are people who hold the torch of the soul to burn themselves and illuminate others. Then, let our teachers hold up the torch of poetry that illuminates the soul, and give our children and teenagers humanistic care and aesthetic comfort.
