Three of Wang Wei's most famous poems

No. 1 "Send Yuan Twenty-one Xi"

Morning rain in Weicheng _ light dust,

The guest rooms are green and willow.

I suggest you have another glass of wine,

There is no reason to go out of Yangguan in the west.

This poem can be called "masterpiece" of farewell poems, and it is also "masterpiece" of Wang Wei's seven-character quatrains.

The second song "My Retreat in Zhongnanshan"

After middle age, I have a strong kind heart, and I didn't settle down at the edge of Mount Zhongnan until my later years.

Every time you are alone, in beauty, it is for me.

Sometimes go to the end of the water to seek the source, or sit and watch the ever-changing clouds rise.

Occasionally I met a village elder in the Woods, and I chatted with him until I often forgot to go home.

This is Wang Wei's later work, and it is a poem that reflects the Zen meaning of "Shi Fo". This poem describes Wang Wei's carefree interest after retiring, and highlights the open-minded character of the recluse.

Third place "Hunting"

In the wind, the horn sounded and the general was hunting outside the borehole.

Grass withered eagle eyes, light snow.

It has passed Xinfeng City in a blink of an eye and soon returned to sunny Liu Ying.

Looking back at the eagle wilderness, thousands of twilight clouds spread to the horizon.

This is a five-character poem written by Wang Wei in his early years. This poem is half about hunting and half about hunting. The first four sentences are about the hunting process, and the last four sentences are about the scene of the general returning to camp in the evening, with distinct levels.
