Does Mulan really exist?

Personally, I don't think Mulan exists. Mulan first appeared in Mulan Ci, also known as Mulan Poetry, which is a famous narrative folk song in the Northern Dynasties of China. It tells the story of Mulan, an ancient woman disguised as a man, who joined the army instead of her father, killed the enemy and made meritorious deeds, and resigned and went home. "Mulan Ci" was later included in Yuefu poetry by Song and Guo Maoqian, and the story of Mulan won the prize. But I personally think there are only folk stories, and there are no accurate official records.

1. First of all, the age of Mulan cannot be verified. Poetry appeared in the Southern and Northern Dynasties, but there was no record of Mulan in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. Until the Tang Dynasty, Mulan was canonized as "General Filial Piety" by the then emperor, praising her for joining the army as her father and bravely killing the enemy. Mulan has been widely circulated since then. You know, in the Tang Dynasty, it was the era when women had the highest status. So Mulan exists to prove that women can do what men can do.

Secondly, there is no specific address to prove where Mulan was born. Is Mulan really surnamed Hua? Some people say that her surname is Mulan and flowers represent women, so she is Mulan. There are also Wei, Han and Zhu. It seems that everyone wants to put the first woman in this history. Be one of us.

Finally, it's too difficult for women to dress up as men, and it doesn't work at all. The first is the military system, which cannot fish in troubled waters. If it is a wealthy family, it doesn't need to fish in troubled waters, but it can be covered up with money, so Mulan's family just has enough food and clothing and can't come up with extra money. And as long as the household registration name is wrong, it will be sent back to the place of origin or beheaded on the spot in the name of spies. An old man and a young girl are so different that it is impossible to fake them. Even if the forgery is successful, it is impossible for a woman and a man to live in a military camp and hide for more than ten years. Because in order to prevent the enemy from contacting, no matter what you do, two people must cooperate. So when you take a shower, your identity will be exposed. A woman went out to fight, lived a windy life and became a general. This idea is beautiful, but it is too difficult to realize.

To sum up, although there is no record of Mulan in history, people still believe in the existence of Mulan, but no relevant records have been found yet. Because the existence of Mulan is a kind of belief. The existence of Mulan is the wish of women in feudal times.
