Poem 1: Ode to White Poplars
There is no trace of water in the Gobi Desert of the Western Regions.
The branches and leaves are withered and the grass is gone.
A few grasses are pure green and a few are dry.
There is no grass in the vast snowfield.
The autumn wind brings frost and white chill,
The poplar alone leads the green vitality.
It cannot be used to fertilize the land,
But it can live in the summer of the people.
White Poplar
Poem 2: Hymn to White Poplar
Have a tolerant heart
Let the ruthless autumn wind blow down
The glory of the past
Those dancing leaves
One piece
Two pieces
Flying leaves
Willing to surrender oneself to the soil
Lost the luster of summer
Only a tall and straight body remains
A proud head
Standing proudly in the wilderness of the east
Poem 3: Ode to the White Poplar
The branches and leaves bloom all over the sky in spring,
The thick shade blocks the sun and relieves the heat. .
Who wants the autumn wind to sweep away the fallen leaves?
The fallen leaves return to their roots in the warm and cold weather.
Poem 4: Ode to Poplars
Poplars in August,
Tall poplars;
Never bow their heads in the storm.
The poplars in August,
The poplars of the years;
The strong character has been sharpened.
The poplars in August,
The lush poplars;
Thriving in the sunshine.
The poplars in August,
The poplars in the fields;
Like the soldiers guarding the territory.
The poplars in August,
The singing poplars;
The breeze sings happy songs.
The white poplars in August,
The poetic poplars;
Compose that poetic chapter.
