Contemporary famous poets and critics. Born in Yangshang Village, taocheng town, Yongchun County, Fujian Province, Yu was born in Nanjing on the ninth day of 1928. When I was young, I studied in Sichuan. After graduating from Nanjing YMCA Middle School, I entered Jinling University to study foreign languages. In 1945, he founded "Blue Star Poetry Society" with Qin Zihao and Zhong Dingwen, and edited "Blue Star Poetry Page". In 1946, he was admitted to the Foreign Languages Department of Xiamen University. He joined the Foreign Languages Department of Jinling University in 1947 (later transferred to Xiamen University), published his first poem in 1948, moved to Hong Kong with his parents in 1949, and went to Taiwan the following year to study in the Foreign Languages Department of Taiwan Province University. In May 195, he went to Taiwan Province. In September, he was admitted to the third year of Foreign Languages Department of National Taiwan University as a transfer student and graduated two years later. Graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Taiwan Province University in 1952. In October, 1953, he founded "Blue Star" poetry club and Genesis poetry magazine with Qin Zihao and Zhong Dingwen, and devoted himself to modernist poetry creation. In 1956, she married Ms. Fan Wocun and had four daughters. During the year, he successively served as a compiler and a university faculty member. In 1958, he went to the United States for further study and obtained a master's degree in arts from Iowa University. After graduation, he returned to Taiwan to teach. He has taught in Normal University and Political University successively, during which he went to the United States twice as a guest lecturer in several universities. In 1959, he received a Master of Arts degree from the University of Iowa (LOWA). He has taught at Soochow University, Normal University, Taiwan Province University and Political University in Taiwan Province. During this period, he was invited by the State Council twice to be a visiting professor in many American universities. In 1972, he was appointed Professor and Head of the Department of Western Languages at Chengchi University. In 1974, he went to Hong Kong as a professor of Chinese Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In September 1985, he left Hong Kong and returned to Taiwan, and settled in Kaohsiung City. He served as Dean of the School of Arts of National Sun Yat-sen University and Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages. In October, he won the New Poetry Recommendation Award of China Times. Since 1988, Yu has served as the translation judge of Liang Shiqiu Literature Award, and it has taken a lot of effort to plan and promote it. In October 1991, he attended a translation seminar sponsored by the Hong Kong Translation Society in Hong Kong and accepted the honorary fellowship awarded by the society. Now living in Taiwan Province, she is the dean of the College of Literature of Sun Yat-sen University.
