Yuan Mei is the pioneer of the "spiritual school", inheriting and carrying forward the excellent tradition of China's ancient poetry, which made China's classical poetry reach its second climax in the middle of Qing Dynasty. His works, such as Poems of Kokura Fang Shan, were handed down from generation to generation and became famous for a while, which also established his position in the literary history of the Qing Dynasty. Yuan Mu's poems are numerous, but only ten volumes and more than 400 poems have been handed down from generation to generation.
In a word, Yuan Mei was more famous and influential than Yuan Mu at that time.
