Xue Mei is one of the earliest founders, vice-chairman and secretary-general of Chinese Contemporary Poets Association. He founded the poetry magazine China Contemporary Poets, and now he is the editor-in-chief of China Contemporary Poets, the special editor-in-chief of the editorial department of New Writer, the special deputy editor-in-chief of Ruizhi Media, and the editor-in-chief of poetry collections such as Nine Colors Flowers, Blue Heart Melody, Emotional Coffee House, April Day on Earth, Selected Poems on Contemporary Love in China, Flowers in the Water and Quiet.
