Jacgues Prevert (Jacgues Prevert, 1900-1977), French poet, born in Paris. In 1946, he published his first collection of poems, "Words," which was a great success. His poetic skills are superb, and his themes are often sentimental but never excessive. The most striking feature of his works is his use of clear language to criticize "official", exaggerated and inhuman things. He achieved the truly popular poetry that many poets dream of but rarely achieves, but he also exposed the limitations of this type of poetry.
