Ji Sou, who is good at brewing wine in Xuancheng, translates:
When Ji Lao was in Huangquan, he could also brew Laochun wine. It’s just that there is no Li Bai in the underworld, who do you always sell wine to?
Explanation of the words "cry Xuancheng and be good at brewing Ji Sou":
⑴Xuancheng: in the southeast of today's Anhui Province. Good at brewing: Good at brewing wine.
⑵Laochun: the name of the wine made by Ji Sou. People in the Tang Dynasty called wine with the word "春".
⑶ Night platform: tomb. Also refers to the underworld. "Selected Works" Lu Ji's poem: "Send off your son for a long night together." ?Li Zhouhan's note: ?Once the tomb is closed, no light can be seen again, so the clouds grow on the night platform, and later generations call it Yeheben. ?
⑷Title Dai Lao Hotel: This is another version of the title of this poem.
⑸ Dachun: the name of the wine made by Dai Lao.
Crying for Xuancheng’s good wine Ji Sou’s background:
This poem was written in the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (761) by Emperor Suzong of the Tang Dynasty. Li Bai was an emotional person who made many friends throughout his life. The friend Ji Sou to whom this poem is written was a native of Xuancheng. Xuancheng is located in southern Anhui. It was the seat of Xuancheng County in the Tang Dynasty. It has a long history, beautiful scenery, and a gathering of literati since the Six Dynasties. Li Bai visited Xuancheng seven times and had a deep impression of the local customs and customs here. Jisu is a famous winemaker in Xuancheng, and the wine he makes is famous all over the world. Li Bai was addicted to alcohol throughout his life and traveled to Xuancheng many times, so he naturally made friends with him. Li Bai was very sad about Ji Sou's death, so he wrote this poem to cry for him.
A brief analysis of the story of the old man who was good at brewing wine in Xuancheng:
This poem was written in Li Bai’s later years to commemorate an old master who was good at brewing wine. In the poem, the poet infatuatedly imagined the life after death of the old wine-maker. Although there are only a few words in the whole poem, it expresses sincere and touching feelings in simple language and is rendered with a romantic color. It has always been loved by future generations.
Appreciation of the old man who was good at brewing wine in Xuancheng:
The old man who brewed wine passed away from this world, which caused the poet to feel deep regret and nostalgia. The poet infatuatedly imagined the life after death of the old brewer. The first sentence "Ji Sou is in Huangquan", Huangquan is originally the place where people died and was buried, but according to the poet's tone, Ji Sou's death in Huangquan is like moving. It means that he is dead, but he seems to be still alive. The second sentence "should still brew Laochun", that is to say: since he was able to brew the famous Laochun wine for me, Li Bai, now in the underworld, he should still use his special skills and continue to brew mellow wine. This seems to be a ridiculous imagination of the poet, but it is said so seriously and tragically that the readers can easily accept it emotionally and feel that this fantasy is humane.
The next two sentences:? There is no dawn on the night terrace, who can I buy wine for? ?The poet thought further along the previous line of thinking:?Even though Ji Sou is still doing his old business in the underworld, life and death are so different. How can I, Li Bai, drink his wine? ?Thinking of this, the poet became even more sad. In order to express this strong sadness, he used the form of a question sentence and pretended to be silly and asked: ?Master! You have gone to the long night of the underworld, but I, Li Bai, am still alive in this world. If you brew the good old spring wine, who will you sell it to? According to the meaning of these two poems, it seems that Ji Sou lived exclusively for Li Bai to make wine, and the wine he brewed was only appreciated by Li Bai. This kind of idea is even more unreasonable and demented, but it shows the deep relationship between the poet and Ji Sou. They are rare bosom friends. Now that they are separated, the poet feels very sad.
Selling wine and making wine were the most common contacts between Li Bai and Ji Sou during their lifetimes. However, this seemingly ordinary trivial matter was the most unforgettable and most likely to cause sadness for the poet. The poet is good at grasping this point and rendering it with a romantic color. The emotion is sincere and natural, which is very touching.
This sentence is wonderful. It not only unites life and death, but also makes people look bright and clear. Those who are ignorant should change it to "There is no dawn on the night platform", which has nothing to do with the next sentence "Who?", it is very true that the local customs cannot be cured. ?
