Si Kongtu's most famous poem: Twenty-four Poems

Twenty-four Poems is a monograph on ancient poetry aesthetics and poetry theory created by Si Kongtu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty. Formally, it consists of twenty-four four-character poems, so it is also called "twenty-four poems". This is a theoretical work on poetry creation, especially the aesthetic style of poetry.

It inherits the aesthetic thoughts of predecessors, takes nature as the aesthetic basis, and includes many artistic styles and artistic conception of poetry, and divides the styles and realms created by poetry into vigorous, diluted, slender, heavy, lofty, elegant, refined, vigorous, beautiful, natural, subtle, bold, smart, meticulous, sparse, unique and tortuous. Each article takes twelve four-character poems as an example and arranges them in order.

These twenty-four poems not only vividly summarize and describe the characteristics of various poetic styles, but also deeply discuss the formation of various artistic styles from the perspective of creation, making positive contributions to poetry creation, criticism and appreciation, which not only attracted the attention of the poetic circles at that time, but also had an impact on later generations.
