Guantianjia

A light rain brought new flowers, and a thunder began to wake up.

Tian Jia was idle for a few days, and farming began.

Dingzhuang is in the wild and the nursery is in charge.

When I return to the scene, I often drink the water from Xixi.

Hunger is not self-suffering, but joy.

There is nothing in the warehouse for the night, and the corvee hasn't arrived yet.

Being ashamed of not practicing, I ate it.

After the spring rain, all the flowers took on a new look. A spring thunder woke up all the animals that were dormant and hibernating in the soil. After a few days of leisure for farmers, spring ploughing began. From the day of the shock, I will get up all day and be busy with farm work in the dark. The able-bodied young people all went to work in the fields, and the women and children who stayed at home packed up their vegetable gardens and prepared to grow vegetables. They are busy every day. When they got home, it was very late, and they had to take the cow to the stream in the west of the village to make it drink. So tired and hungry, they don't feel bitter. As long as they see the seedlings moistened by rain, they feel very happy. But even if they are so busy all day, there is no overnight food at home, but the labor is endless. Looking at these, I remember that I am not engaged in agriculture, but Lu Feng is a villager, and I am deeply ashamed.

Appreciation of Poetry This is an idyllic poem. Pastoral poetry refers to poems praising rural life, which mainly focus on rural scenery and the labor of farmers, shepherds and fishermen. After Tao Yuanming, a great poet in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, wrote pastoral poems, which mainly became poems written by reclusive literati and officials who retired from officialdom to rural life.

In the poem "Guan Tian Jia", the heavy taxes and unreasonable social system at that time were profoundly revealed through the concrete description of farmers' hard work all the year round. Since the day of shock, farmers have never been "at leisure for a few days", and they are busy with farm work in the dark all day. As a result, there is no food for the night at home and the labor has not been finished. I am deeply ashamed to think that I am not engaged in agriculture, but Lu Feng is from this village. As a feudal official, such remorse is really rare. This kind of thoughts and feelings is the same as that of Du Fu and others. It is a feature of the pastoral poetry in the Tang Dynasty and a fine tradition of China's classical poetry.
