1 Samuel, chapter 22
Scripture:
David read this poem to the Lord on the day when the Lord delivered David from all his enemies and Saul. (2 Sam 22: 1)
Key words:
Read this poem to God.
Experience:
The whole chapter records a poem written by David. People always think that David's greatest contribution in the history of redemption is not his personal legendary experience, but those poems that are still touching today. Perhaps these poems were not really written by David in every capital, but his appearance did greatly promote the development of Hebrew poetry.
"He saved me from the enemy ... he took me to a vast place ... I rushed into the enemy through you and passed me? God jumps over the wall ... He makes my feet as quick as a doe's feet, and he makes me secure on high. He taught me that my hands can fight, and even my arms can open the bronze bow ... You make my feet wide and my feet never slip ... "
Sometimes I wonder, after many years, will David be moved and inspired again when he hears others sing the poems he wrote in those years?
Yes, people are so forgetful that they often forget everything God has done in our lives and how he led himself through those difficult years step by step. If we can record all that, we won't be an ungrateful person.
Thank god! Since I believe in the Lord, I have often recorded various experiences of reading the Bible. But this is not enough. May the Lord let me continue to experience his truth and actions more often in the future, record his grace and ability, and never forget his love and compassion.
Pray:
Lord of abundant grace, I wish I could count and record your grace all the way and become an eternal inspiration. Amen!
