-"Dongpo Zhi Lin"
Distinguish and appreciate
Su Dongpo is a rare genius in history, and his prose is bold and broad, but he is a bridled eyebrow among the eight masters in Tang and Song Dynasties, calligraphy is the first in Song Sijia, and poetry is an outstanding master, which can be said to be the first in Song Dynasty. Moreover, I especially like his essays and natural and unrestrained words, which I find unique and charming.
You Sha Lake was written in Huangzhou (now Huanggang City, Hubei Province). It describes his daily life and friendship at that time with extremely simple and natural brushstrokes, but it contains the poet's deep feelings for life, which are extremely depressed and sincere, and also open his arms. I think the essays of Ming and Qing Dynasties, such as Gui Youguang's, are deeply influenced by him.
At that time, he escaped from the so-called Wutai Poetry Prison, an extremely dangerous literary prison. The new party hates Dongpo's outspoken political reform and thinks it is "inconvenient for the people." In several suggestions, Li Ding and Shu Qi are extremely sinister villains. They not only accused Luo Zhi Dongpo of "slandering" the court, but also "exercised" during the trial. "Exercise" in history books means all interrogation methods including torture and psychological pressure. Because Dongpo was influenced by Zhuangzi's metaphysics in his early years, he was open-minded and didn't care much about life and death. The New Party insisted on putting him to death, but Song Shenzong thought he was very talented and approved the placement of Huangzhou as an envoy forever. "Resettlement" is a kind of relegation of exiled criminal officials under the supervision and control of local state officials, which is better than later "returning to Yuanzhou for the people". At that time, because he was the emperor's trusted minister, Huangzhou Prefecture was fairly polite to him, except that he was regarded as an official on the day of sitting as usual and let him be at ease. Dongpo himself, though open-minded and indifferent, felt that he had no political future, so he built a house in Dongpo and called himself a "Dongpo layman". Although he was anonymous, he seemed to have a plan to live permanently. I went to Husha Lake for field investigation and asked about the price, but I got sick. In order to seek medical treatment, I met Pang Anchang, a folk doctor. The doctor is deaf, but very clever. Dongpo can't write a few words on paper, and he deeply understands Dongpo's meaning. Dongpo played a joke on him humorously, which was naturally an armchair strategist. When they recovered, they became friends. Dongpo went to Qingquan Temple with him to see the legendary Wang Xizhi's pen-washing spring. As an outstanding calligrapher, Wang Xizhi, a master of calligraphy art, has naturally admired him for a long time, knowing that it is a fake, but he also thinks that the mountains and rivers are beautiful and glad you came. Seeing that there is Lanxi under the temple, the stream flows westward, not eastward as usual, so I wrote a word "Huanxisha", which is divided into two parts, each with three sentences. The first part first describes the bright moon in the countryside, and there are blue buds in the Qingxi below the mountain. Walking in the pine forest, I feel that the sand road is clean and mud-free, but there are cuckoos crying sadly in the rustling yellow rain, and the atmosphere is heartbreaking. But then the mood turned to be open-minded: who said that when people are old, they can't show the feeling when they were young? Look: the running water is still flowing west! Don't always sigh that the morning chickens are urging each other. Time flies and you don't even realize that you are old!
So frank and natural, very ordinary life and friendship, but so interesting. This word seems to be blurted out, which is the crowning touch of the article, so naturally and softly expressing his feelings of talent, just in contrast to the bold and unrestrained spirit common in Dongpo's poems. There is also a very kind style, which is often recited, although it is not his masterpiece.
Dongpo himself knows medicine well. In the works of Su Shen Liang Fang, a scientist in the Northern Song Dynasty, Shen Kuo also included some of his prescriptions and medical works, so he often became bosom friends with Pang An. Pang Anchang was originally a herbalist in Qiushui, but he was not famous in the local area. Promoted by Dongpo, he became a famous doctor at that time. His Treatise on Febrile Diseases was originally intended to be prefaced by Dongpo, but it was moved to the south in a hurry, but it was not written. Huang Gugu wrote a postscript for him, which was also circulated in the world.
