Mr. Sassou said that China's victory in the Anti-Japanese War was led by the anti-Japanese United front headed by the state. In fact, not only the country * * joined the Anti-Japanese War, but also many forces, such as patriotic chivalrous men, the real people, the old and the young, the land, the north and the south are defending their land against the Japanese-even the wild animals in China are helping to fight the Japanese. Tongling, Anhui Province is not far from Nanjing, where there was a story about a tiger fighting for the New Fourth Army, which was recorded in the memoirs of American pilot Klinsmann's Anti-Japanese War.
During the Anti-Japanese War, Tongling, Anhui Province was densely forested, and the South China Tiger was infested. Tongling has never had a record of tigers attacking people before. After the Japanese army set up a stronghold in Tongling, a sentry was killed by a tiger, dragged away and eaten. This stronghold is located in rural Tongling, not far from a local place called "Sanbaizhang". The shanzhai is very special. There are three layers of barbed wire inside and outside. The devil in this shanzhai can hardly come out-it is said that he was bitten by a tiger.
When Klinsmann was on a mission in China, the plane crashed in Tongling and was rescued by the local New Fourth Army. Before the New Fourth Army sent Klinsmann to Chongqing, Klinsmann lived in a rural shop in Tongling. One day he was ready to go out. When he opened the door, he was startled by what he saw: two leopards playing in front of the door. Klinsmann turned to shoot the leopard with a gun and was stopped by the New Fourth Army. The New Fourth Army told him that leopards are our friends. They have lived here for a long time. Leopards have a keen sense of smell. When the Japanese came, they ran away. So seeing a leopard means that the Japanese are not nearby-the leopard has become a good early warning tool.
The New Fourth Army, with Klinsmann at night, passed a special stronghold in Tongling. The New Fourth Army, who escorted him, told him not to worry. As long as he didn't talk, all the devils in this stronghold were bitten by tigers, and one was killed when the stronghold was first built, so these devils had nothing to do at ordinary times and never came out. The New Fourth Army and its party boldly walked through the Japanese bunker.
Sassu explained why local tigers in Tongling don't bite China people, but only Japanese people. He speculated that there were two reasons: first, Japanese soldiers came out with helmets, and the local tigers had never seen them and felt fresh; Second, the shoes of Japanese soldiers are different from those of China. The thumb of the foot is separated from the other four little toes, and the footprints left on the road are like those of cattle. The tiger may think that the devil is a special kind of "cow" rather than a person, so he jumps on them and eats them.
This incident reached the top of the Japanese army, who wrote to Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Japan, asking about the way to kill tigers. After being instructed by experts, Japanese soldiers sent 100 people to shoot tigers with guns. When these Japanese troops first came to Tongling, the New Fourth Army thought they were coming to fight, so they built a position on the mountain and prepared to fight the devils. But it was later discovered that the devil had gone to the opposite mountain instead. In the evening, the gunfire stopped on the opposite mountain, and the devil came down with a stretcher. Later, the New Fourth Army knew what was going on through the inside.
It turned out that after Japanese soldiers were stationed on the opposite mountain, they divided their work. A small group of devils were responsible for searching a small mountain area and surrounded the tiger from all directions. Tigers are top beasts. A tiger can control a large area. There is only one tiger in this area, and this is its own territory. However, two tigers appeared that day. A tiger coming in from the outside jumped on a Japanese soldier, opening a gap for the besieged tiger. Two tigers managed to escape from it. It turned out that when the Japanese devils were fighting tigers, it was estrus. A tiger came outside to mate with this tiger. It happened that the Japanese devils were searching for mountains, so they rescued their "lover".
This story is recorded in the memoirs of Zeng Youcheng, a lieutenant general of the Air Force and a former combat officer of the 7th Division of the New Fourth Army, which can be confirmed by Klinsmann's memoirs.
