Why did Jay Chou write about Xiang Tao?

"Taoxiang" takes Jay Chou's childhood life experience as the main line, and leads the audience back to the countryside with playful lyrics. Jay Chou had many interesting things when he was a child. When he was a child, he envied the children living in the country. When he planted mango trees at the door, he could see his neighbors climbing over the wall and stealing mangoes from the window.

Jay Chou was very naughty when he was a child. Once he caught a pot-bellied fish in a big ditch, but he accidentally fell into the ditch. When he got home, he was teased by his mother because his head was too big to fall in. These interesting childhood memories became the inspiration for Jay Chou to write this song.

"Xiang Tao" MV:

The MV of Xiang Tao tells the story of a middle-aged man who was frustrated at work and took it out on his wife and children. Later, he returned to the quadrangle in his hometown in the countryside. His mother and relatives warmly embraced and received him, giving him great strength and courage to meet the future. In the MV, two people sitting on the ox cart singing and playing to greet the sunset are quite leisurely, but it is not the cow but the staff who pull the ox cart. MV combines rural scenery with hip hop elements, and Jay Chou performs mouth-to-mouth performances in ox carts, country roads and rice fields in folk costumes.

The reason why MV specially went to Wuxin Town of Zhongli to shoot is that in addition to the green rice fields, the independent quadrangle is also an important reason to attract the director's attention. On the day of MV shooting, more than 30 actors were used to play the joyful scenes of three generations in the quadrangle. Surrounded by the crowd, Jay Chou and Yang Ruidai beat drums and played guitars in wooden boxes, creating a carefree atmosphere and the warmth of home.
