Li Shimin was the de facto founder of the Tang Dynasty, and his martial arts was the first emperor of China. According to the Record of Emperor Taizong, "Bachelor students in school stay at home, listen to the classics at the time, mix essays, or love the night." The Complete Poems of Tang Dynasty recorded a volume of 69 poems. Due to the limitation of the times and literary talent, his poetry creation level is not very high, but because of his preference and advocacy, it is indispensable to cultivate a generation of people who respect poetry.
Wei Zhi was a courtier in history of qing dynasty, and Emperor Taizong listened to his advice, which was the peak of the encounter between monarch and courtier in history, and there were many stories handed down. But these two people still have a poetic relationship, which can also show the integrity and excellent quality of the monarch and his subjects:
On one occasion, Emperor Taizong gave a banquet to entertain ministers, and each of them wrote a poem about it. Emperor Taizong wrote "Shangshu": "There are hundreds of articles in a day, and five codes are covered with lights. Xia Kang is easy to predict, new and barren. If you please, you will be confused and self-denial. Destroying the body and destroying the wealth, the fame is good. " With the history of Xia Kang and Shang Zhouwang's debauchery and subjugation, he has his own sage demeanor. The theme of this poem is similar to Wei Zhi's warning that Xiu De is evil in peacetime. Wei's "Western Han Dynasty": "If you suffer from loss, you will win a long interest. Drive on the Weihe Bridge, watch the soldiers and watch Liu Tun. The banquet passed through Cooper and swam out of Du Yuan. Finally, I will know the respect of the emperor through my uncle Sun Li. " Although Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang won the emperor's dignity by formulating etiquette system, it is more important to consolidate the rule of the Han Dynasty. The purpose of poetry is to satirize and exhort, or to take the world as one's duty to persuade the monarch to be good. Emperor Taizong sighed for this: "Wei Zhi bound me with courtesy!"
Although these two poems were feasts, they were of great significance and elegant content, and their supremacy undoubtedly had a positive impact on the poetic style at that time. These two poems have no outstanding artistic features, but are characterized by the tolerance and mind of sages and ministers!
