The History and Culture of Zhangjiagang
Zhangjiagang is not only a beautiful and rich new city, but also an ancient land with a long history. After textual research, Zhangjiagang has a long history, splendid culture and profound historical and cultural heritage. Judging from the history of the city, as early as the second year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (AD 28 1 year), Jiyang County, a county-level administrative system, was established in Zhangjiagang. By the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Jiyang County was divided into three counties: Liangfeng County, Jiangyin County and Licheng County, of which Liangfeng County was "built in Jiyang Market" and the county was still in Yang Shezhen. During the Wude period of the Tang Dynasty, the county-level organizational system was abolished, and the territory of Zhangjiagang was under the jurisdiction of Jiangyin and Changshu. It is precisely because of this historical reason that the "dynastic history" has been caused, so that many people mistakenly think that the history of Zhangjiagang's city construction began after the county was established in 1962. But at the same time, it is precisely this long history that has witnessed the profound historical background of Zhangjiagang City. Among the five counties and cities in Suzhou, Zhangjiagang is the first county to set up county-level administrative system. Zhangjiagang is a place of outstanding people. For thousands of years, talented people have come forth in large numbers. From the Tang and Song Dynasties to the end of the Qing Dynasty, Zhangjiagang had at least two champions, 1 second place, four flower pickers and hundreds of scholars. Qilu, the champion of Heyangshan Tang Dynasty, was the earliest champion in Suzhou history. From the Jin and Tang Dynasties to the Qing Dynasty, famous writers, historians, musicians, painters and other famous artists emerged, such as Qian Muzhai, a great poet of Luyuan, Guo Tingjian, a historian of Qing Dynasty in Yang She, and Yang Yisun, a woodcut painter of Qing Dynasty in Grange ... Many famous historical figures left beautiful words on the land of Zhangjiagang, and famous writers such as Su Dongpo, a famous poet in the Song Dynasty and Yang Wanli, a famous writer in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties, chanted about Zhangjiagang and left their shoes here. All these have become an indelible historical and cultural imprint of Zhangjiagang.
