The May 4th Life School
The Life School (Literary Research Association) is the earliest literary society established in the "May 4th" new literature movement. It was established in 1921. The representative poets include Lu Xun, Bing Xin, Zhu Ziqing, Zhou Zuoren, etc.
Literary attitudes and creative practices tend to be realism. He advocated that "literature is a kind of work, and it is also a kind of work that is very important in life." The main members of the Literary Research Association, Zhu Ziqing, Ye Shaojun (Ye Shengtao), Liu Yanling, Yu Pingbo, etc. later established the first modern literary circle in Shanghai. New Poetry Society - China New Poetry Society, and founded the first new poetry special issue "Poetry" in January of the following year. Those who joined the Literary Research Association successively include Shen Yanbing (Mao Dun), Ye Shaojun (Ye Shengtao), Liu Yanling, Yu Pingbo, Xu Dishan, Wang Tongzhao, Geng Jizhi, Guo Shaoyu, Zhou Zuoren, Sun Fuyuan, Zhu Xizu, Qu Shiying, Jiang Baili, Huang Luyin, Lao She, and Hu Yu Later, Liu Bannong, Liu Dabai, Zhu Xiang, Xu Zhimo, Peng Jiahuang, etc. joined, and the number of members once reached more than 170.
