Houguanhu Wetland Park is a national wetland park with an area of 3 186.3 hectares, which is three times that of Donghu Wetland Park and the largest wetland park built in Wuhan. Located in the west of the Third Ring Road and in the north-central part of Caidian, it includes Anbaili Lake, Lishi Lake, Jishao Lake, Wangjia Lake, Gaohu Lake, Yinzhi Lake and coastal land.
Houguan Lake Greenway is located in Houguan Lake, caidian district, Wuhan. The total length is110km, with a total area of about 530 hectares. There are bicycle lanes and trails for riding. This is the first rural greenway in Wuhan and the second rural greenway in China.

There are 30 species of waterbirds and woodbirds 130 species in houguanhu provincial wetland park, 7 species of national first-class protected birds and 383 national second-class cranes. Houguanhu Wetland Park will be completed within 8 years. The Houguanhu National Wetland Park will be built by Wuhan Caidian Modern Agriculture Investment Co., Ltd., accounting for more than 60% of the total area of existing wetland parks in Wuhan. It is the largest wetland park in Wuhan. After completion, it will reproduce the original ecological natural landscape of "green hills surrounded by water and egrets flying in the depths of grass beaches".
Houguanhu Village Greenway is an important part of Zhiyinhu-Suohe Greenway in Wuhan urban greenway system, which is divided into four lines (Houguanhu Line, Zhiyinhu Line, Bailianhu Line and Gaohu Line), with a planned total length of 1 10 km. This is the first rural greenway in Wuhan and the second in China.
