Poetry in ancient style

"Modern Style" Poetry

It developed from Shen Yue's new style poems which emphasized the rhythm and duality of the four tones and eight diseases in the Southern Dynasties, and it was not until Shen Quanqi and Song Cai finalized it in the early Tang Dynasty that it became a common style of poetry after the Tang Dynasty. There are strict rules on the number of words, sentences, even words, antithesis and rhyme. The main categories are metrical poems and quatrains, including five words, six words and seven words respectively (six words are rare). There are four quatrains each, including five quatrains and seven quatrains; Usually a metrical poem has eight verses, which are divided into five rhymes and seven rhymes. More than ten rhymes are called metrical poems or long rhymes, and occasionally six metrical poems with three rhymes are called metrical poems or small rhymes.
