This poem, which was written by Li Ruzhen in the Qing Dynasty, roughly means: I will go to the imperial garden to enjoy flowers tomorrow, and I will let them bloom as soon as I receive the will. Be sure to blossom tonight, don't wait until tomorrow, dear!
Background: Wu Zetian gave the order and all kinds of flowers and fruits were obeyed the next day. When Wu Zetian went to Shang Huashi, the imperial garden, the climate seemed particularly warm, and the ice in the pool melted, which suddenly turned into early spring. Wu Zetian was very happy to see full of green in Lin Yuan, and immediately ordered the imperial secretary to hang these flowers and trees with red silk and a gold medal as a reward. Among the hundreds of flowers, only the peony flower has not bloomed for a long time. The marquis of Wu was furious, and ordered the imperial secretary to burn charcoal and roast branches, so that the peony caught fire. But Wu Zetian was so angry that she ordered thousands of peonies in the imperial garden to be expelled from Chang 'an and transplanted to Luoyang, the eastern capital, as punishment. However, there is no record of "flower-urging poems" in relevant historical books. It is very likely that the author of "Jing Hua Yuan" invented this poem by himself when writing an article, just like the "inspiring the mountain" in Historical Records, which was invented by the editor of the book.
