The association with Bian Yujing, a famous prostitute in Qinhuai, is an important experience in Wu Meicun's life. This personal event, which began to gather and ended, has a strong tragic meaning because of the demise of the Ming Dynasty. Wu Meicun wrote many poems for Bian Yujing. After the war and national subjugation, in his later works, the feelings between Wu and Bian are no longer what they used to be. The feelings of joys and sorrows, the worries of the family and the sadness of the nation are intertwined with personal sadness and memories of past dreams. These immortal poems have gone beyond the stereotype of their early affection for their children and integrated their personal feelings with the vicissitudes of their home country.
As a masterpiece of "Meicun Style", the seven-character ballad "Listening to the Female Taoist Bian Yujing Playing the Piano" is a masterpiece of "Poetry History" and a masterpiece of "Meicun Style". Mei Cun's poem has a unique eye on the topic selection, taking the joys and sorrows of some special characters in turbulent times as clues and looking at the changes of historical dynasties and political atmosphere from the experiences of these characters.
