We can only say that Li Shangyin's works are regarded by us as classics and are often read. There are a large number of poems without titles. If we read more of Li Shangyin's poems, we can feel that the poet only focuses on the description and shaping of current emotions - he makes readers feel his emotions, but he does not want you to truly understand him and know where this emotion comes from.
The poems written by Li Shangyin completely hide their logic and pretend to be obscure, but his words make readers love them. This is one of the reasons why Li Yishan deliberately ignored this topic. Many people stick to logic and literature and always think that without a central idea, it is not a good poem. Why Lishan is the most outstanding one in the history of Chinese literature is because he is the most evil one in literary rhetoric. The key is to make us think he is beautiful, not disgusting. If Cao Zhi is the originator of "Laozi" in the history of literary poetry and rhetoric, then Li Shangyin is the transformed "Zhuangzi".
Of the more than 600 works left by Li Shangyin, only 16 are truly worthy of "Untitled". Even if we include the ten poems with the first two characters of the title such as "Jin Se" and "Ruo You", there are only more than twenty poems. Compared with all Li Shangyin's works, they are really pitiful. In fact, the title of the poem is a deliberate guide to the text, which is why the title did not really appear until the Cao Zhi era. In fact, friends who write poetry all know that as long as you don't write a paper, just write what you feel. Choosing a title is another process besides writing the poem.
If written well, the title and content can be seamless and complement each other. If the literary talent is not good, the title will be redundant and boring. People who really use poetry to record their feelings only need to indicate the time and reason. In many cases, the poem is not even given a title after it is written. This depends on how much the poet attaches importance to the work. But people don’t care about the poems written by many poets with deep feelings and full of emotions. In our daily life, we often write poems without titles. Li Shangyin naturally has extraordinary literary talent. It is normal for some works to be too lazy to give titles------but things are not that simple. The purpose of writing the title is to give readers a general understanding of the poem before entering it.
