Once the sea Difficult to be water, except Wushan, it is not cloud.
Looking back lazily at Huacong, I am half destined to practice Taoism and half destined to be a king.
4. Translation:
For those who have experienced the incomparably deep and vast sea, it is difficult for the water elsewhere to attract him; except for the steaming clouds of Wushan, the clouds elsewhere are eclipsed.
Although I often walk through the flowers, I have no intention of admiring them. This is partly because I have already practiced Taoism, and partly because I only have you in my heart.
5. Appreciation:
This poem was written in memory of his late wife Wei Cong. Wei Cong was from a high family, beautiful and virtuous. After Wei Cong died young at the age of twenty-seven, the poet once expressed his vow Never marry again ("Removal of Sorrows·Part 3"). The first sentence is quoted from "Mencius: Devoting the Heart" "Those who look at the sea can hardly be water"; the second sentence is quoted from Song Yu's "Preface to Gaotang Ode" "Ginger is in the sun of Wushan Mountain, blocked by high hills, it is the morning clouds, and it is the rain at dusk." People quote these two poems, which often refer to loyalty to love, indicating that love belongs to no other than you.

Yuan Zhen, courtesy name Wei Zhi. , also known as Wei Ming. His father is Yuan Kuan and his mother is Zheng. He is a descendant of the Tuoba tribe of the Xianbei clan in the Northern Wei Dynasty. He was the 14th generation grandson of Shi Yijian and he was often referred to as "New Yuefu" in his early years. Together with Bai Juyi, he is also known as "Yuan Bai".
