Poetry writing began at 1982. In 2000, he won the fifth Mao Dun Literature Award for "The Dust Settled" [3]. In March 2009, he was elected chairman of Sichuan Writers Association and served as a member of the presidium of the Eighth National Committee of Chinese Writers Association [4].
