- Book review of "Red Feng Zhang" by Lin Boxuan
Wang Yifei
? The dusk is vast and the sunset is beautiful, and the old are not inferior to the young. Come.
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, the book "Red Feng Zhang" by Lin Boxuan, an octogenarian director, is about to be printed. Like many people who care about this book, I am also eager to Looking forward to it. One afternoon, Li Bozhi, former vice chairman of the county CPPCC, current president of the Wanrong County Charity Federation, and executive vice president of the county's University for the Elderly, handed me the proof of "Red Feng Zhang" and commissioned me to write a preface for it. After receiving the book sample, I suddenly felt frightened. Director Lin is a well-known person among veteran cadres in the county and one of the cultural celebrities. In front of him, how can I dare to do whatever I want to do with my little ink? However, being respectful is worse than obeying orders. I dare not write a preface, so I can only talk about some of my feelings about this book.
One: The first highlight of "Red Feng Zhang" is reflected in the word "red".
? After getting the manuscript of "Red Feng Zhang", I read it carefully several times and received profound lessons. The book is divided into three main texts, one appendix, four parts, and 41 articles. From different levels and angles, it describes in detail the heroic deeds of the underground party organization in Fengzhang Village leading underground party members and revolutionary people to fight against the Japanese invaders, the Kuomintang reactionaries, and the bandits before liberation (1921-1949). Special emphasis is placed on Lin Disheng, who was the first to join the Communist Party of China in 1938. After Lin Disheng joined the party, he actively promoted the party's anti-Japanese policy and cultivated anti-Japanese activists. Unfortunately, he was arrested by Japanese and puppet agents and spent more than 40 days in prison. After he was released from prison, he was assigned by the party organization to serve as secretary of the Integrity Department of the Second Brigade of the Hejin Special Agents of the Yan Department. During this period, he established an underground secret organization through skillful mediation, installed underground party members as chief and deputy company commanders, and gradually took control of this unit. Under the command of Lin Disheng, this gray armed force successfully took down the Japanese and puppet Beihuoshang stronghold and made a surprise attack on the Japanese and puppet Gaocun gun towers. When Lijiapo encountered the Japanese army, the soldiers were not afraid of the powerful enemy and fought bravely, beating the Japanese until 12 of them abandoned their bodies and fled. Lindiseng was shot three times in the abdomen during the battle. After recovering from his injuries, he led his team to attack the Japanese grain transport team and shot the traitors and bandits. In three years, he fought more than 100 times with the Japanese and puppets, which dealt a heavy blow to the arrogance of the Japanese and puppets.
During the white terror, in order to better carry out the fight against the enemy, Lindiseng dug a tunnel in his cattle pen. After the tunnel was built, underground party organizations held more than 50 meetings and studies here, and more than 100 people moved or rested in the tunnel. They also used the tunnel to hide weapons and ammunition seized from the enemy, providing a strong guarantee for the fight against the Japanese. This tunnel was once called the "red safe" by the underground party organization.
During the War of Liberation, Lin Disheng, on the orders of Brigadier Zhou Xihan, persuaded Li Zhong, chief of police of the Yan Department of Yuxiang County Government, to lead an uprising of 300 people. He is not only a hero of Fengzhang Village and Wanrong County, but also a hero of the entire underground party in China. In addition to the story of Lin Disheng, Fengzhang Village also has many touching and evocative stories such as Lin Laifa's organization of the Yu Knife Association, Lin Kunxiao's leadership of the stretcher team, red teacher Niu Yupu and the PLA platoon leader's gift of blankets. These precious historical stories are expressed in the book. It is vivid and touching.
Two: The second highlight of "Red Feng Zhang" is reflected in the word "sincerity".
? I am very familiar with Director Lin. During the county's institutional reform in 1984, I joined the Personnel Bureau, and he left the Personnel Bureau and went to the County Working Committee. Although we had not worked together, because he was the old director of the Personnel Bureau, we paid more attention and respect to him. I have worked in the Personnel Bureau for several years, and everyone often talks affectionately about Director Lin's excellent way of dealing with people. He has been a humble and cautious leader for many years. He is a kind-hearted person and never makes things difficult for anyone. He has a very good reputation. After retirement, I often see him exercising, walking with a breath of fresh air, and very energetic. He is always enthusiastic when meeting people, has a clear mind, calls people by their first names, and speaks very clearly. I occasionally read his essays in the "Wangrong People" newspaper, but I didn't know that he had recently written a new book, and it was a red book specifically describing the construction of the party organization in his hometown of Fengzhang Village before the liberation. Although this book is not as thick as a "brick", its "gold content" and thickness are not equivalent. After I finished reading, in addition to being moved by the vivid characters in the book, I turned my head around and thought about it. I deeply felt that this was a work of loyalty to the party by an old Communist Party member. There is no such thing as this. Loyal to his original aspiration, an eighty-year-old veteran cadre will never let go of his comfortable life and enjoy it. Instead, he rushes around and wears reading glasses, burning the midnight oil and working hard at night to complete this recent novel word by word. One hundred thousand words of red historical records. How many characters are recorded in the book, how much data is involved, and the specific years and months it took place. Can it be turned into a book without hard work in investigation and effort in compilation? These materials are so precious that if not rescued in time, they will be lost in the long river of history.
If there is no daring loyalty to the party, no high degree of party spirit cultivation, and no passionate love for the homeland, can such a good thing that is both painstaking and meticulous and of immeasurable merit be accomplished? Retired, a newspaper, a pot of tea, a piece of leisurely clouds, boxing, singing, keeping in good health, enjoying the rest of life is human nature, who is willing to travel around, ask Zhang Wenli, go to work and grind. What about the hard work of talking and breaking legs? What are you picturing? Not to mention he can type on a computer? Can you write articles on your mobile phone? It’s hard to imagine how he would write the information he collected from the investigation onto paper word by word with trembling arms, and then ask someone to print it out on a computer. It might not be difficult if you were a person of 20 years ago, but such an old person would have to put in several times more effort than an ordinary person!
? Only when you have a coordinate and belief in life can you live with vigor and vitality. Using "Red Feng Zhang" as a gift to the party's 100th anniversary is the goal that Lin Baixuan, an old party member, wants to achieve. It is precisely because of this goal positioning that he is confident, puts pressure on himself, does not need to raise his whip, and seizes the day. ? This book reflects the mission and responsibility of an old Communist Party member, and also reflects his ambition to live and learn. His spirit is commendable and admirable!
Three: The third highlight of "Red Feng Zhang" is reflected in the word "pass".
? Hiding gold and silver in troubled times, and cultivating treasures in prosperous times.
Since the founding of New China, our country has undergone tremendous changes. The foundation of these changes comes from the great Communist Party of China. If the Communist Party of China is the body of a "great mother", then those thousands of underground party organizations were the red pulses and cells jumping in the mother's blood. The underground party in Feng Zhang Village is one of the red cells. I understand that when writing the book "Red Feng Zhang", Director Lin did not write a book for the sake of writing a book, nor did he write a biography for the sake of fame, but the result of an old party member and veteran cadre who did not forget his original intention and kept his mission in mind. It was he who wrote a dazzling red book in the form of words for future generations. Lenin said: Forgetting the past means betrayal. The political significance of this book is that although the eradication of opium is over, the alarm bell will still sound; it is the promotion and inheritance of the red gene; it is a fulcrum and booster set up by an old party member to build a century-old dream. She will forever educate and inspire future generations of her hometown and more young people who thrive in the land of Vang Vieng. Let them take over the party's baton under the banner of the new era and fight for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
In short, "Red Feng Zhang" by old director Lin Boxuan has indeed sent a generous gift to the party's 100th anniversary from "red" to "sincerity", from "sincerity" to "passion". I sincerely hope that everyone can take a quick look at it, and I also wish the old director good health and longevity.
