This is a Yuefu poem, and Yuefu Poetry Collection is classified as "Zaqu". Since the Wei and Jin Dynasties, the creation of Yuefu poems by literati often has a characteristic: it always revolves around "ancient words", or imitates or starts. This practice of finding "motif" from ancient poetry has formed a procedure. Although poets in the Southern Dynasties wrote Yuefu poems according to this formula, there was another tendency. They sometimes abandon the ancient poems of Yuefu in the Han Dynasty and trace them directly back to the songs of Chu to find the "motif". For example, Wang Rong and Xiao Liang Chang Fei of Nanqi both wrote a poem "Thinking of Childe". The central theme of this poem is taken from Nine Songs of the Chu Dynasty: "The wind is rustling, the wood is rustling, and thinking of Childe is just an anxious thing." Xie Tiao's poems also belong to this situation, and its "motif" comes from "Chu Ci Zhao Hermit": "Wang Sun swims without returning, and spring grass grows." In other words, the poet's creative inspiration comes from "Songs of the South", and what he wrote is completely real-life feelings. There is a vivid reality in the ancient "motif".
The spring-like feeling of loving your husband reveals the disappointment of "beauty dying". In this way, the protagonist's mentality has sublimated from the yearning for spring by ordinary girls, from the pouring out and venting of feelings to a treasure of spring.
Colorful, suggesting its relationship with literati literature; However, the poet expressed this ancient "motif" in the form of five words and four sentences of Yuefu folk songs in the Southern Dynasties, which made the original work luxurious.
