In the first person, the poet compares himself to a two-masted ship, pouring out his thoughts to the endless coast. I said goodbye to you yesterday, broke up here today, and will meet you in another place tomorrow. Today, it is the storm at sea that urges the masthead to seek refuge in this harbor, and tomorrow it is the same storm that pushes the masthead into the embrace of another harbor. This special relationship, which is constantly separated from the coast but always reunited, makes the brig finally realize clearly that there is a natural relationship between itself and the coast that can never be changed.
