It's the Golden Week of Tourism, and when we get to Hukou Town, Yichuan County, the cars on the road are already one after another. For some reason, the traffic suddenly froze in a huge canyon. I got off the bus and wanted to exercise my muscles. At this time, I noticed that our car stopped on the mountain on the west side of the Shanxi-Shaanxi Grand Canyon. The Yellow River was at the bottom of the river hundreds of meters deep, and a long queue was parked on the mountain road on the east side of the river. There is a long steel bridge between the canyons-the Yellow River Bridge. I said, Shaanxi province is at one end of the bridge and Shanxi province is at the other end. The whole family is very excited, because this is the first time we have seen such a bridge across two provinces. Looking west against the sun, under the blue sky, the mountain is dark brown, like a natural barrier across the horizon. There is a gap in the middle of the barrier, as neat as a knife and axe. The upper part of the gap is blue, the lower part is yellow, the blue is the sky, and the yellow is water. I think of the sentence in Li Bai's "Into the Wine": "How does the water of the Yellow River move out of the sky and into the ocean, never to return?" I don't know if he stood here and wrote it. When you look closer, there are waves of white smoke rising in the canyon, which is estimated to be Hukou Waterfall. At this time, the canyon, yellow mountains, yellow water, cars of all colors, dark crowds in the distance and white smoke also formed a rare spectacle.
The car crawled slowly for an hour before reaching the gate of the scenic spot. Queue for tickets, queue for parking, and then queue for sightseeing bus. Hukou Waterfall finally appeared before our eyes.
Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River is a natural waterfall formed when the middle reaches of the Yellow River flows through the Shanxi-Shaanxi Grand Canyon, and it is also the largest yellow waterfall in the world. The reason is the unique geographical structure here. There are Cangshan mountains on both sides of the river, and the ravine formed by boulders shrinks the Yellow River water more than 300 meters wide into a narrow flow of 50 meters. Water flows into deep pools and into canyons. The waves roll and beat the coast, which looks like a huge pot boiling yellow water, so it is called "Hukou". At the same time, the huge gap formed in the riverbed caused a huge amount of water from the Yellow River to fall from the sky, and the river with a lot of sediment rushed and roared, making a loud noise like thunder. It is not too much to express my feelings at this time with words like "majestic, magnificent, majestic and shocking". There is a poem about Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River.
Stones piled up on both sides,
A river rolled in.
Thunder rumbled,
Magnificent avalanche white!
In particular, the phrase "magnificent avalanche white" is so vivid! The smoke I just saw in the valley is tiny water particles formed when the Yellow River flows down. Water particles are atomized, massive and continuous, flying in the valley for a long time, like clouds, fog and snow!
The Yellow River is the mother river of the Chinese nation. A large number of relics and historical data prove that our civilization originated in the Yellow River Basin. The tribes led by Huangdi and Yan Di, two pioneers of Chinese civilization, also left a lot of traces of activities in Shaanxi and Henan. Our ancestors cultivated, herded, hunted, raised silkworms, mined, made clothes, built ships and cars, made music and created medicine in this land. They are cultivators, wise men, knights and soldiers. On horseback, they overlooked the yellow land of the Central Plains and created the Chinese civilization. It is precisely because the two great leaders have their own strengths and advantages that they eventually developed into armed confrontation. After several wars, Xuanyuan defeated Shennong, and later defeated Chiyou. Huangdi Mausoleum is near Hukou Waterfall in huangling county. As Leizu's hometown, as descendants of the Chinese people, we should have paid homage to our ancestors. Unfortunately, this time it is not allowed. There are too many places worth seeing in Xi 'an, the ancient capital of the Millennium. I will take time to go there again in the future.
Hukou Waterfall of the Yellow River is almost a symbol of the Yellow River in my heart, almost a symbol of the Chinese nation. Since childhood, we have seen it countless times in books, picture books, movies, TV and the Internet, looked up at it countless times and dreamed of it countless times. At this point, I really stood in front of it. I can't wait to press the shutter in my hand, trying to photograph this spectacle, which is shocking and boiling. Sometimes, I stand in front of the waterfall and stare. Those ancient and magical legends, those impassioned epics, and the great changes that have taken place in the past 5,000 years are all mapped in my mind. I can't hear the sound of the huge waves of the Yellow River at all, but there is another sound in my ears. It is the most familiar melody in my life, which inspires the whole Chinese nation. Yes, it's Mr Xian Xinghai's The Yellow River Cantata! This melody is sometimes full of affectionate, broad and heroic carols, sometimes deep and sad sobs, and sometimes rolling and roaring. This melody is a tribute to the great rivers and mountains of the motherland, to the whole Chinese nation, to the angry cry of the descendants of the Chinese people, and to the horn of the Chinese people's fighting.
The wind is howling, the horses are barking,
The Yellow River is roaring, the Yellow River is roaring!
Defend your hometown! Defend the Yellow River!
Defend North China! Defend all China!
