"Compendium of Materia Medica": Aloe vera, cold can remove heat, bitter can relieve heat and dampness, bitter can kill insects, bitter to cold, so it is an important medicine for removing heat and killing insects. Damp-heat hemorrhoids, sores and flaccidity are all caused by damp-heat entering the intestines and causing blood stagnation, so they are the main symptoms. It can detoxify croton and also remove heat.
9. "Compendium of Materia Medica": Lu Hui is a medicine that cools the liver and kills insects. If there is liver disease or heat, it must be used. But the taste is extremely bitter and the qi is extremely cold, and there are no other bitter and cold medicines that can match it. Its power is mainly for elimination but not for tonic, so it can be used by those with strong internal heat and qi. It is forbidden for those with internal deficiency and diarrhea who eat little food.
10. "Ben Jing Feng Yuan": Aloe vera enters the Jueyin Liver Meridian and Chongmai. Its function is to kill insects and clear away heat.
