The first is Zhinan, a monk in the Southern Song Dynasty. There are few records about Zhinan in history books, and his position in the literary world of the Southern Song Dynasty is not high. However, his poem "quatrains" surprised many people, especially the two sentences "stained with clothes and apricot flowers, blowing your face without cold willows", which wrote the feelings of early spring very delicately. With this poem alone, Zhinan is enough to occupy a place in the poetry circle of the Southern Song Dynasty.
The second is the monk Guan Xiu in the late Tang Dynasty. When Guan Xiu was seven years old, he became a monk in He 'an Temple. He never forgets anything. Poetry and painting are unique. The phrase "3,000 guests get drunk, 14 states get sword frost" widely circulated on the Internet was written by Guan Xiu. When he was traveling in Hangzhou, he met the monarch of wuyue and asked him for poems. Guan Xiu wrote this article "Give Money to Father". After wuyue received this poem,
The third is Wang Fanzhi in the early Tang Dynasty. His poems are quite different, mostly written in the vernacular at that time. Most of them exhort the world to do good and stop evil. The language is a little simple to read and the art is rough, but some philosophy of life can be incorporated. For example, when I am rich, the first sentence at the beginning is "When I am rich, women treat me well", which makes me feel like a limerick.
The fourth is Hanshan during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty. Hanshan's poetic style is actually similar to that of Wang Fanzhi, which is simple and clear. Many of his poems handed down from generation to generation were edited into Poems of Hanshanzi by later generations, translated into Japanese, English and French, and circulated abroad. He is a legendary monk.
